Deuteronomy 29:27
ಕರ್ತನ ಕೋಪವು ಈ ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ಈ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಶಾಪವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ತರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಉರಿಯಿತು.

ಹೌದು, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ನಿನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ವಿಾರಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ವರಕ್ಕೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡದೆ ತೊಲಗಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಶಾಪವು ದೇವರ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಮೋಶೆಯು ನ್ಯಾಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದ ಆಣೆಯು, ಆತನಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಮಾಡಿದ ಪಾಪದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ.

ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯ ವಾಗಿರುವ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಎರಕ ಹೊಯಿದದ್ದ ನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಶಿಲ್ಪಿಯ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಗುಪ್ತವಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸುವವನಿಗೆ ಶಾಪ. ಜನವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಆಮೆನ್ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಿ.
ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶಕಾಂಡ 29:20
ಅಂಥವನನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನು ಉಳಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆಗಲೇ ಕರ್ತನ ಕೋಪವೂ ರೋಷವೂ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಗೆ ಹಾಯುವವು. ಈ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿ ರುವ ಶಾಪವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗುವದು; ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಆಕಾಶದ ಕೆಳಗಿನಿಂದ ಅಳಿಸಿಬಿಡುವನು.
