Acts 27:11
ಆದರೂ ಪೌಲನು ಹೇಳಿದವುಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಹಡಗಿನ ನಾಯಕನೂ ಯಜಮಾನನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದವನನ್ನು ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಯು ನಂಬಿದನು.

ಜಾಣನು ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ನೋಡಿ ಅಡಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನು ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಯಾವನು ಕಹಳೆಯ ಧ್ವನಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಆಗ ಕತ್ತಿಯು ಬಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡರೆ ಅವನ ರಕ್ತವು ಅವನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಇರುವದು.

ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಬಹುಕಾಲ ಆಹಾರವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದ್ದಮೇಲೆ ಪೌಲನು ಅವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು--ಅಯ್ಯಗಳಿರಾ, ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತು ಕೇಳಿ ಕ್ರೇತದಿಂದ ಹೊರಡದೆ ಇದ್ದಿದ್ದರೆ ನಾವು ಈ ಕಷ್ಟನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ನೋಹನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಕಾಣದಿದ್ದವುಗಳ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ದೇವರಿಂದ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸ ಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಭಯಗ್ರಸ್ತನಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗಾಗಿ ನಾವೆಯನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಲೋಕದವರನ್ನು ಖಂಡಿಸಿ ತರುವಾಯ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂ ದುಂಟಾಗುವ ನೀತಿಗೆ ಬಾಧ್ಯನಾದನು.

ಅಷ್ಟು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವು ಒಂದೇ ಗಳಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋಯಿತಲ್ಲಾ ಅನ್ನುವರು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಹಡಗುಗಳ ಯಜಮಾನರೂ ಹಡಗುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜೊತೆಯಾಗಿರುವವರೂ ನಾವಿಕರೂ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಮೇಲೆ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ಮಾಡುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು
