ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಹೋಗುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪದೆಹೋದದರಿಂದ ಅಬ್ನೇರನು ತನ್ನ ಬರ್ಜಿಯ ಹಿಂಭಾಗದ ಮೊನೆಯಿಂದ ಅವನ ಪಕ್ಕೆಯ ಐದನೇ ಎಲುಬಿನ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಹಾಯುವಂತೆ ತಿವಿದನು; ಅದು ಅವನ ಹಿಂದಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂತು. ಅವನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ಅದೇ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತನು. ಆಗ ಏನಾಯಿಯತಂದರೆ ಅಸಾಹೇಲನು ಬಿದ್ದು ಸತ್ತ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ನಿಂತರು.
