2 Samuel 19:8
ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಎದ್ದು ಹೋಗಿ ಬಾಗಲಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತನು. ಇಗೋ, ಅರಸನು ಬಾಗಲಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತಿ ದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ಜನ ರೆಲ್ಲರು ಅರಸನ ಎದುರಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಗುಡಾರಗಳಿಗೆ ಓಡಿ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದರು.

ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಿಮಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣುವದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವೆನು ಅಂದನು; ಅರಸನು ಬಾಗಲಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತನು; ಜನರೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೂರು ನೂರಾಗಿಯೂ ಸಾವಿರ ಸಾವಿರವಾಗಿಯೂ ಹೊರ ಟರು.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಎದ್ದು ಬಾಗಲ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ಉಂಟಾದವನು ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು--ನೀನು ಯಾವ ಪಟ್ಟಣದವನೆಂದು ಕೇಳು ವನು.

ಆದ ದರಿಂದ ಜನರು ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಅವಮಾನ ಪಟ್ಟು ಕಳ್ಳತನವಾಗಿ ಬರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳ್ಳತನವಾಗಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣದೊಳಗೆ ಬಂದರು.
