ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಚೀಬನಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ಮೆಫೀಬೋಶೆತನಿಗೆ ಉಂಟಾದದ್ದೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನ್ನದಾಯಿತು ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಚೀಬನು--ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆ ಯನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ದಯೆದೊರಕಲಿ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.

ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ತೆಕೋವಿನವಳಾದ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಅರಸನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಭಕ್ತಿ ಗೌರವದಿಂದ ವಂದಿಸಿ--ಅರಸೇ, ಸಹಾಯಮಾಡು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿ ಕೊಂಡಳು.

ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅರಸನು--ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ನಿನಗೆ ಏನಾದರೂ ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರ ಕೊಂಡು ಬಾ; ಅವನು ಇನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಮುಟ್ಟದಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.

ಆಗ ಯೋವಾಬನು ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಬೊಗ್ಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಅರಸ ನಿಗೆ ವಂದಿಸಿದನು. ಯೋವಾಬನು--ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನ ಮಾತಿನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನಾದ ಅರಸನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ದಯೆದೊರಕಿತೆಂಬದು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಿತು ಅಂದನು.
