2 Kings 21:20
ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ಯಾದ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು.

ಕರ್ತನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿದ ಅನ್ಯ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದವುಗಳ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವನು ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು.

ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಇದ್ದ ಅಮೋರಿಯರು ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದಾದ ಈ ಅಸಹ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಯೆಹೂದವನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಂದ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು. ಈ ಕಾರಣ ದಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳು ವದೇನಂದರೆ--

ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆಮೋನನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ಮಾಡಿದ ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನರ್ಪಿಸಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಿ ದನು.

ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ನಿಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಅಳತೆಯನ್ನು ನೀವೇ ತುಂಬಿಸಿರಿ.
