ಆದರೆ ಅಶ್ಶೂರದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಪೂಲನು ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂದನು. ಆಗ ಮೆನಹೇಮನು ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಧೃಢಪಡಿಸಲು ಅವನ ಕೈ ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಪೂಲನಿಗೆ ಸಾವಿರ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ತಲಾಂತು ಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

ಆಗ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸುಗಳಾಗಿರುವ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗಳಾದ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನೂ ಯೆಹೋರಾಮನೂ ಅಹ ಜ್ಯನೂ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಾನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿದವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕರ್ತನ ಮನೆಯ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅರಸನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ಸಕಲ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನೂ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಅರಸ ನಾದ ಹಜಾಯೇಲನಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋದನು.
ಹೋಶೇ 5:13
ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮು ತನ್ನ ರೋಗವನ್ನು ಯೆಹೂದವು ತನ್ನ ಗಾಯವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮ್ ಅಶ್ಯೂರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯಾರೇಬನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿತು; ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಅವನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡ ಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಗಾಯವನ್ನು ಗುಣಪಡಿಸಲೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
