2 Chronicles 30:24
ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ಸಭೆಗೆ ಸಾವಿರ ಹೋರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಏಳು ಸಾವಿರ ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನರು ಕೂಟಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾವಿರ ಹೋರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಯಾಜಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಡರು.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನನಗೆ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರ ಮನೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಇರುವದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಮನೆಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾದರ ಹೊರತು ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಿಂದ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನೂ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರ ಮನೆಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಯಾಜಕರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕಹಾಗೆ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಇದ್ದದ್ದ ರಿಂದಲೂ ಜನರು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಕೂಡಿ ಬಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದದ್ದರಿಂದಲೂ ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದರು.

ಹಬ್ಬಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅಮಾ ವಾಸ್ಯೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮನೆತನದವರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಭೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹೋಮ ಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೈವೇದ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವದು ಪ್ರಭುವಿನ ಕೆಲಸವಾಗಿರುವದು; ಅವನೇ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇ ಲಿನ ಮನೆತನದವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಸಮಾಧಾನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪಾಪಬಲಿ ಯನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಪಣೆಯನ್ನೂ ದಹನಬಲಿಯನ್ನೂ ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಯಜ್ಞವನ್ನೂ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಬೇಕು.

ಆದದರಿಂದ--ಆತನು ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿಹೋದಾಗ ಸೆರೆಯನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ದಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು ಎಂದು ಆತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
