ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಯೆಹೂದದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೋಟೆ ಗಳುಳ್ಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು. ದೇಶವು ಶಾಂತವಾ ಗಿತ್ತು. ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ವರುಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಯುದ್ಧವಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
