ಆ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಯಾಜಕರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬಲಿಪೀಠಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿ, ಅವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಎಲುಬುಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬಂದನು.

ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಯಜ್ಞ ಮಾಡುವವನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಾಶವಾಗಬೇಕು.

ಅವನು ಆ ಪೀಠಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಮಾತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಗಿ--ಪೀಠವೇ, ಪೀಠವೇ, ಇಗೋ, ದಾವೀದನ ಸಂತಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಷೀಯನೆಂದು ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳ ಒಬ್ಬ ಕುಮಾರನು ಹುಟ್ಟುವನು; ಅವನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಧೂಪವನ್ನರ್ಪಿಸುವ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಯಾಜಕರನ್ನು ಬಲಿಯಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವನು; ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಎಲುಬುಗಳು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುಡಲ್ಪಡುವವೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ ಅಂದನು.

ಆಗ ಎಲೀಯನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ಬಾಳನ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯಿರಿ; ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಇರಲಿ ಅಂದನು. ಇವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿ ದರು; ಎಲೀಯನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೀಷೋನ್ಹಳ್ಳದ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡುಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಿದನು.

ಅಂಥ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯನ್ನಾದರೂ ಕನಸು ಕಾಣುವವನ ನ್ನಾದರೂ ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಬೇಕು; ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದೊಳ ಗಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿ, ದಾಸತ್ವದ ಮನೆ ಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರಿಂದ ತಿರುಗುವಂತೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ನಡೆಯಲು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಮಾರ್ಗ ದಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ದೂಡುವಂತೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಹೀಗೆ ನೀನು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಧ್ಯದಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಬೇಕು.
ಯೆಶಾಯ 34:6
ಕರ್ತನ ಖಡ್ಗವು ರಕ್ತದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದೆ; ಅದು ಕುರಿಹೋತಗಳ ರಕ್ತದಿಂದಲೂ ಟಗರುಗಳ ಮೂತ್ರಪಿಂಡದ ಕೊಬ್ಬಿ ನಿಂದಲೂ ಪುಷ್ಟಿಯಾಯಿತು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಬೊಚ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲಿಯನ್ನೂ ಎದೋಮಿನ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕೊಲೆಯನ್ನೂ ಉಂಟು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
ಜೆಕರ್ಯ 13:2
ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನು--ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗುವದೇನಂದರೆ, ನಾನು ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳ ಹೆಸರುಗಳನ್ನು ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಕಡಿದುಬಿಡುವೆನು; ಅವು ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅಶುದ್ಧ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನೂ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ತೊಲಗಿ ಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.
