ದಾವೀದನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮ್‌ ಊರಿನ ಎಫ್ರಾತ್ಯನಾದ ಇಷಯನೆಂಬವನ ಮಗನಾ ಗಿದ್ದನು. ಈ ಇಷಯನಿಗೆ ಎಂಟು ಮಂದಿ ಕುಮಾರ ರಿದ್ದರು. ಇವನು ಸೌಲನ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರೊಳಗೆ ವೃದ್ಧನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
