ಅವರು ದಾಟಿಹೋದ ತರುವಾಯ ಆದದ್ದೇ ನಂದರೆ, ಎಲೀಯನು ಎಲೀಷನಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿ ಯಿಂದ ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳಲ್ಪಡುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ನಿನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನಾನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಕೇಳು ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಲೀಷನು ದಯಮಾಡಿ ನಿನಗಿರುವ ಆತ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಎರಡು ಪಾಲನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸು ಅಂದನು.

ಯೆರಿಕೋವಿನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎದುರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಂಡಾಗ--ಎಲೀಯನ ಆತ್ಮನು ಎಲೀಷನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತಿರುವನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಂಡು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸಾಷ್ಟಾಂಗನಮಸ್ಕಾರಮಾಡಿದರು.
