ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮನ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಶೆಕೆಮನನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿದನು. ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ ಪೆನೂವೇಲನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು.

ಯೆರುಬ್ಬಾಳನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನು ಶೆಕೆಮಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಸಹೋದರರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡವೂ ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ತಂದೆ ಮನೆಯ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರೆ ಲ್ಲರ ಸಂಗಡವೂ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ--
