2 ಅರಸುಗಳು 11:14
ಅವಳು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ ನೋಡುವಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಅರಸನು ಪದ್ಧತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಸ್ತಂಭದ ಬಳಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದನು. ಪ್ರಧಾನರೂ ತುತೂರಿ ಊದು ವವರೂ ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದರು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದೇಶದ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟು ತುತೂರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಊದಿದರು. ಆಗ ಅತಲ್ಯಳು ತನ್ನ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಿದು ಕೊಂಡು--ದ್ರೋಹ, ದ್ರೋಹ ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿದಳು.

ಆಗ ದೇಶದ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು; ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಶಾಂತವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಅತಲ್ಯಳನ್ನು ಅರಮನೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿ ದರು.

ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧರಾದ ಈ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸೈನಿಕರು ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅರಸನಾಗ ಮಾಡಲು ಪೂರ್ಣಹೃದಯದಿಂದ ಹೆಬ್ರೋನಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿ ನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಮಿಕ್ಕಾದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಅರಸ ನಾಗ ಮಾಡಲು ಒಂದೇ ಹೃದಯವುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.

ಏಳನೆಯ ದೂತನು ತುತೂರಿಯನ್ನೂದಿದನು. ಆಗ ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾಶಬ್ದಗಳುಂಟಾಗಿ-- ಈ ಲೋಕದ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನ ಮತ್ತು ಆತನ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಾದವು; ಆತನು ಯುಗ ಯುಗಾಂತರಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಆಳುವನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ದವು.
