ಆಹಾರಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳು ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಗಾಗಿ, ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯು ಆಹಾರಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಇವೆ; ಆದರೆ ಅದನ್ನೂ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ದೇವರು ನಾಶಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಈಗ ದೇಹವು ಜಾರತ್ವಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನಿಗಾಗಿ ಇದೆ; ಕರ್ತನು ದೇಹಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ.

ಬಾಯೊಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವದೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಬಹಿರ್ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ದೆಂದು ನೀವು ಇನ್ನೂ ಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ?

ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ನೀವು ಸಹ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ದೇಹದ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಪಾಲಿಗೆ ಸತ್ತಿರಿ. ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಫಲಫಲಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಅಂದರೆ ಸತ್ತುಜೀವಿತನಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದಾತನನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡಿರಿ.

ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳು ಅಡವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮನ್ನಾ ತಿಂದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಸತ್ತು ಹೋದರು.

ಇಂಥವುಗಳೇ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಹೊಲೆಮಾಡುತ್ತವೆ; ಆದರೆ ಕೈತೊಳಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಊಟ ಮಾಡುವದು ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಹೊಲೆಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.
