ಪ್ರೀತಿಯು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೋಗುವದಿಲ್ಲ;ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರವಾದನೆಗಳು ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋಗುವವು; ಭಾಷೆ ಗಳೋ ನಿಂತುಹೋಗುವವು: ಜ್ಞಾನವೋ ಇಲ್ಲದಂತಾ ಗುವದು.

ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲಿರುವವರಿಗೆ ಸುನ್ನತಿ ಯಾದರೂ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಿಲ್ಲ, ಆಗದಿದ್ದರೂ ಪ್ರಯೋ ಜನವಿಲ್ಲ. ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಕೆಲಸನಡಿಸುವ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಯಿಂದಲೇ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

ಒಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಮಹತುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವ ವರವು, ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವಾದನೆಯ ವರವು, ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಆತ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವೇಚಿಸುವ ವರವು, ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ವಿವಿಧ ಭಾಷೆಗಳನ್ನಾಡುವ ವರವು, ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಭಾಷೆಗಳ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ಹೇಳುವ ವರವು ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತದೆ.

ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯು ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋಗದಂತೆ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನೀನು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

ಎದೋಮಿನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ತೇಮಾನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವಿರುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ವಿವೇಕಿಗಳಿಂದ ಆಲೋಚ ನೆಯು ನಾಶವಾಯಿತೋ? ಅವರ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಕಾಣದೆ ಹೋಯಿತೋ?
