ಇವರೆ ಲ್ಲರೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೋತಾಮನ ದಿವಸ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯಾರೊ ಬ್ಬಾಮನ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ವಂಶಾವಳಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು.

ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದಂಥ, ರೆಮಲ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ, ಪೆಕಹನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಎರಡನೇ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದಂಥ, ಉಜ್ಜೀಯನ ಮಗ ನಾದ, ಯೋತಾಮನು ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದನು.

ಕರ್ತನು ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಜೀವದಿಂದಿರು ವರೆಗೂ ಕುಷ್ಠರೋಗಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾದ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅರಸನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋತಾಮನು ಮನೆ ಯಜಮಾನನಾಗಿದ್ದು ದೇಶದ ಜನರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯ ತೀರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.

ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಮಚ್ಯನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಹದಿನೈದನೇ ವರು ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾಗಿರುವ ಯೋವಾ ಷನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಅರಸನಾಗಿ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತೊಂದು ವರುಷ ಆಳಿದನು.

ಯೋತಾಮನು ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೈದು ವರುಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಯೆರೂಸ ಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹದಿನಾರು ವರುಷಗಳು ಆಳಿದನು. ಇವನ ತಾಯಿಯಾದ ಯೆರೂಷಳು ಚಾದೋಕನ ಮಗಳು.
