John 17
1 ಯೇಸು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ ಪರಲೋಕದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನೆತ್ತಿ-- ತಂದೆಯೇ, ಈಗ ಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಮಹಿಮೆಪಡಿಸು; ಆಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮಹಿಮೆಪಡಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗುವದು.
2 ನೀನು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಯಾರಾರನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀಯೋ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆತನು ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀ.
3 ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಸತ್ಯದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೂ ನೀನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನನ್ನೂ ಅವರು ಅರಿತು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದೇ ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವ.
4 ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಹಿಮೆಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಮುಗಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ;
5 ಓ ತಂದೆಯೇ, ಹೀಗೆ ಲೋಕವು ಇದ್ದದ್ದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ನನಗಿದ್ದ ಮಹಿಮೆಯಿಂದ ನೀನು ಸ್ವತಃ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮಹಿಮೆಪಡಿಸು.
6 ಲೋಕದೊಳಗಿಂದ ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮನು ಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನವರಾಗಿದ್ದರು; ನೀನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀ; ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೈ ಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
7 ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವವುಗಳೆಲ್ಲವು ನಿನ್ನವುಗಳೇ ಎಂದು ಈಗ ಅವರು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
8 ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಇವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಇವರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದಲೇ ಹೊರಟುಬಂದವನೆಂದು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದು ನೀನೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದೀ ಯೆಂದು ನಂಬಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
9 ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕೇಳಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೇ ಹೊರತು ನಾನು ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನವರು.
10 ನನ್ನವರೆಲ್ಲರು ನಿನ್ನ ವರೇ; ನಿನ್ನವರು ನನ್ನವರೇ; ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಮೆ ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
11 ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ಇವರು ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನಾದ ತಂದೆಯೇ, ನಾವು ಒಂದಾಗಿರುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವರು ಸಹ ಒಂದಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವವರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಪಾಡು.
12 ನಾನು ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿದೆನು; ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟವರನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಬರಹವು ನೆರವೇರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಆ ನಾಶನದ ಮಗನೇ ಹೊರತು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ನಾಶವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
13 ಈಗ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರು ತ್ತೇನೆ ನನ್ನ ಆನಂದವು ಅವರೊಳಗೆ ಈಡೇರುವಂತೆ ನಾನು ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡು ತ್ತೇನೆ.
14 ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ ನಾನು ಲೋಕದವನಲ್ಲದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅವರೂ ಲೋಕದವರಲ್ಲವಾದದರಿಂದ ಲೋಕವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡಿಯದೆ.
15 ನೀನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಲೋಕದೊಳಗಿಂದ ತೆಗೆಯಬೇಕೆಂತಲ್ಲ; ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೇಡಿನಿಂದ ಕಾಪಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಾನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳು ತ್ತೇನೆ.
16 ನಾನು ಲೋಕದವನಲ್ಲದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅವರೂ ಲೋಕದವರಲ್ಲ.
17 ನಿನ್ನ ಸತ್ಯದಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠೆ ಪಡಿಸು; ನಿನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯವೇ ಸತ್ಯವು
18 ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಲೋಕದೊಳಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಾನು ಸಹ ಅವರನ್ನು ಲೋಕದೊಳಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
19 ಅವರು ಸತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವಂತೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವರಿ ಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
20 ಆದರೆ ಇವರಿಗೊಸ್ಕರ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ಇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯದಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಡುವವರಿಗೋ ಸ್ಕರವೂ ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
21 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗಿರಬೇಕೆಂತಲೂ ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದೀ ಎಂದು ಲೋಕವು ನಂಬುವಂತೆಯೂ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ನೀನು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಇವರು ಸಹ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗಿರ ಬೇಕೆಂತಲೂ ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
22 ನಾವು ಒಂದಾಗಿರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಇವರೂ ಒಂದಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ಇವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
23 ನಾನು ಇವರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನೀನು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ (ಇರುವಂತೆ) ಅವರೂ ಒಂದಾಗಿ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣರಾಗಿ ರುವರು; ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದೀ ಎಂತಲೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮಾಡಿದಂತೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ನೀನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀ ಎಂತಲೂ ಲೋಕವು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವದು.
24 ತಂದೆ ಯೇ, ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟವರು ಸಹ ನೋಡುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನಾನಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ನನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇರುವಂತೆಯೂ ನಾನು ಇಚ್ಛೈಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಜಗದುತ್ಪತ್ತಿಗೆ ಮುಂಚೆ ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದಿ.
25 ಓ ನೀತಿಯುಳ್ಳ ತಂದೆಯೇ, ಲೋಕವು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನೀನೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದೀ ಎಂದು ಇವರು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
26 ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದಂಥ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಬೇಕೆಂತಲೂ ನಾನು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವಂತೆಯೂ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಇನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.
1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
6 The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.
7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.
8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:
9 Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.
10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.
22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
