ಈಗ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಶೇಷವೇ, ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ; ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ನೀವು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಖಗಳನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿ ನೀವು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ತಂಗುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರೆ,

ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ತಂಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ತಮ್ಮ ಮುಖಗಳನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿಸಿರುವ ಯೆಹೂದದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದಿರುವವರನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕಡಿದು ಬಿಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಳುವರು; ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಕ್ಷಾಮದಿಂದಲೂ ಕಡಿದು ಬಿಡಲ್ಪಡು ವರು; ಚಿಕ್ಕವನು ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ದೊಡ್ಡವನ ವರೆಗೂ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಕ್ಷಾಮದಿಂದಲೂ ಸಾಯು ವರು. ಅವರು ಅಸಹ್ಯವೂ ವಿಸ್ಮಯವೂ ಶಾಪವೂ ನಿಂದೆಯೂ ಆಗುವರು.

ಹೌದು, ಐಗುಪ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಮುಖಗಳನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿಸುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹೀಗಾಗುವದು; ಅವರು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿ ಂದಲೂ ಕ್ಷಾಮದಿಂದಲೂ ಜಾಡ್ಯದಿಂದಲೂ ಸಾಯು ವರು; ನಾನು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರಮಾಡುವ ಕೇಡಿಗೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಉಳಿಯುವವನು ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಅವರೊಳಗೆ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
