Jeremiah 38:18
ನೀನು ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನ ಪ್ರಧಾನರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗದಿದ್ದರೆ ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವದು; ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಡುವರು; ನೀನು ಅವರ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.

ಹಾಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತರುವರು; ನೀನು ಅವರ ಕೈಗೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳು ವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿಯಲ್ಪ ಡುವಿ; ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ನೀನೇ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಡುವಿ ಅಂದನು.

ಕಸ್ದೀಯರು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಡುವರು.
