Jeremiah 29:17
ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ-- ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕತ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಕ್ಷಾಮವನ್ನೂ ಜಾಡ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೆಟ್ಟವರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ ರುವದರಿಂದ, ತಿನ್ನಕೂಡದ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದ ಅಂಜೂರ ಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.

ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಕ್ಷಾಮ ದಿಂದಲೂ ಜಾಡ್ಯದಿಂದಲೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಂಸಿಸಿ ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಪಕ್ಕೂ ವಿಸ್ಮಯಕ್ಕೂ ಸಿಳ್ಳಿಡುವಿಕೆಗೂ ನಿಂದೆಗೂ ಗುರಿಯಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಬಿಡುವೆನು.

ಆದದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಿಗೂ ಪ್ರತಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನಿಗೂ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುವದರಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ನನಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಕತ್ತಿ, ಬರ, ಜಾಡ್ಯ ಇವುಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಭೂಮಿಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಹಾಕುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.

ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕ ದ್ನೇಚ್ಚರನಿಗೆ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡದೆ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನ ನೊಗಕ್ಕೆ ತನ್ನ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡದೆ ಇರುವ ಜನಾಂಗವೂ ರಾಜ್ಯವೂ ಯಾವದೋ ಆ ಜನಾಂಗವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಕ್ಷಾಮದಿಂದಲೂ ಜಾಡ್ಯದಿಂದಲೂ ಇವನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡಿಬಿಡುವ ವರೆಗೆ ದಂಡಿಸುವೆನೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.
Jeremiah 24:1
ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾ ಕೀಮನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಕೊನ್ಯನನ್ನೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಪ್ರಧಾನರನ್ನೂ ಬಡಗಿಯವರನ್ನೂ ಕಮ್ಮಾರರನೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಿಂದ ಸೆರೆಗೆ ಒಯ್ದು ಬಾಬೆಲಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡುಹೋದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೆ ತೋರಿಸ ಲಾಗಿ, ಅಗೋ, ಎರಡು ಪುಟ್ಟಿ ಅಂಜೂರದ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಕರ್ತನ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಮುಂದೆ ಇದ್ದವು.
Jeremiah 15:2
ಅವರು ನಿನಗೆ--ನಾವು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ, ನೀನು ಅವ ರಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಮರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಇರುವವರು ಮರಣಕ್ಕೆ; ಕತ್ತಿಗೆ ಇರುವವರು ಕತ್ತಿಗೆ; ಕ್ಷಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಇರುವವರು ಕ್ಷಾಮಕ್ಕೆ, ಸೆರೆಗೆ ಇರು ವವರು ಸೆರೆಗೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬೇಕು.
