ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನು ಆ ದಿನವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಜನ ವನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪ್ಪು ಎರಚಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
