Genesis 47
1 ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಬಂದು ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ-- ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೂ ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಕುರಿ ದನಗಳನ್ನು ತಮಗಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲವುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಕಾನಾನ್‌ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಗೋ, ಅವರು ಗೋಷೆನ್‌ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ ಅಂದನು.
2 ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರಲ್ಲಿ ಐದು ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಫರೋಹನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದನು.
3 ಫರೋಹನು ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಸಹೋದರರಿಗೆ--ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೆಲಸವೇನು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಅವರು ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸರಾದ ನಾವೂ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಗಳೂ ಕುರಿಕಾಯುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಅಂದರು.
4 ಅವರು ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ--ಈ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾಸ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇವೆ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕಾನಾನ್‌ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಷಾಮವು ಕಠಿಣವಾಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸರ ಮಂದೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹುಲ್ಲುಗಾವಲು ಇಲ್ಲ. ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸರು ಗೋಷೆನ್‌ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವವರಾಗುವಂತೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ ಅಂದರು.
5 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಫರೋಹನು ಯೋಸೇಫನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದ ರರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
6 ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶವು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಇದೆ. ದೇಶದ ಉತ್ತಮವಾದದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೂ ಸಹೋದರರೂ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡು. ಗೋಷೆನ್‌ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ವಾಸವಾ ಗಿರಲಿ. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯುಳ್ಳವರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದರೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಮಗಿರುವ ಮಂದೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ವಿಚಾರಕರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಇರಿಸು ಅಂದನು.
7 ಯೋಸೇಫನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಯಾಕೋಬ ನನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಫರೋಹನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದನು. ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಫರೋಹನನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವ ದಿಸಿದನು.
8 ಫರೋಹನು ಯಾಕೋಬನಿಗೆ--ನಿನಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ವರುಷಗಳು ಅಂದಾಗ
9 ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರವಾಸದ ದಿನಗಳು ನೂರ ಮೂವತ್ತು ವರುಷಗಳು. ನನ್ನ ಜೀವನದ ದಿನಗಳು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವಾಗಿಯೂ ದುಃಖಕರವಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದವು. ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗಳು ತಾವು ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದ ಜೀವನದ ವರುಷಗಳ ದಿನಗಳಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಮುಟ್ಟಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.
10 ಆಗ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಫರೋಹನನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ ಅವನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದನು.
11 ಯೋಸೇಫನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರ ರಿಗೂ ನಿವಾಸವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಫರೋಹನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದ ಉತ್ತಮವಾದದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ ರಮ್ಸೇಸ್‌ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
12 ಯೋಸೇಫನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋ ದರರನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆಹಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
13 ಆದರೆ ಬರವು ಅತಿ ಘೋರವಾಗಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆಹಾರ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶವೂ ಕಾನಾನ್‌ದೇಶವೂ ಕ್ಷಾಮದಿಂದ ಕ್ಷೀಣವಾದವು.
14 ಆಗ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕಾನಾನ್‌ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಜನರು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡ ಧಾನ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಹಣವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಫರೋಹನ ಮನೆಗೆ ತಂದನು.
15 ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕಾನಾನ್‌ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹಣವು ಮುಗಿದಾಗ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು--ನಮಗೆ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡು, ನಾವು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಯಾಕೆ ಸಾಯಬೇಕು? ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಹಣವೆಲ್ಲಾ ತೀರಿತು ಅಂದರು.
16 ಆಗ ಯೋಸೇಫ ನು--ನಿಮ್ಮ ದನಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬನ್ನಿರಿ, ಹಣ ತೀರಿದ್ದೇಯಾದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದನಗಳಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ (ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನು) ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
17 ಆಗ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪಶುಗಳನ್ನು ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಂದರು. ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಅವರ ಕುದುರೆ ಮಂದೆ ದನ ಕತ್ತೆ ಇವುಗಳ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು. ಆ ವರುಷವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸಿದನು.
18 ಆ ವರುಷವಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಎರಡನೆಯ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಹಣವೂ ಪಶುಗಳ ಮಂದೆಗಳೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಒಡೆಯನ ವಶವಾಗಿ ಮುಗಿದಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಶರೀರಗಳೂ ಭೂಮಿಗಳೂ ಹೊರತು ನಮ್ಮ ಒಡೆಯನ ಮುಂದೆ ಏನೂ ಉಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲವೆಂಬದನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಒಡೆಯನಿಗೆ ಮರೆಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
19 ನಾವೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣೆದುರಿಗೆ ಸಾಯುವದು ಯಾಕೆ? ನಮ್ಮನ್ನೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನೂ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕೊಂಡುಕೋ. ಆಗ ನಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಯು ಫರೋಹನ ವಶವಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಗುಲಾಮರಾಗಿರುವೆವು. ನಮಗೆ ಬೀಜವನ್ನು ಕೊಡು; ಆಗ ನಾವು ಸಾಯದೆ ಬದುಕುವೆವು, ಭೂಮಿಯು ಹಾಳಾಗದೆ ಇರುವದು ಅಂದರು.
20 ಆಗ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶ ವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಫರೋಹನಿಗಾಗಿ ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡನು. ಹೇಗಂದರೆ, ಬರವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕಠಿಣವಾಗಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರು ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮ ಹೊಲಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾರಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು
21 ಹೀಗೆ ಭೂಮಿಯು ಫರೋಹನದಾಯಿತು. ಅವನು ಜನರನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಒಂದು ಮೇರೆಯಿಂದ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಮೇರೆಯ ವರೆಗೆ ಇದ್ದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿಸಿದನು.
22 ವೈದಿಕರ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಅವನು ಕೊಂಡು ಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಫರೋಹನು ವೈದಿಕರಿಗೆ ಭಾಗಗಳನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಅವರು ಊಟಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು; ಆದ ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
23 ಆಗ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಜನರಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ಇಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನೂ ಫರೋಹನಿಗಾಗಿ ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಇಗೋ, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಬೀಜವಿದೆ. ನೀವು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಜಬಿತ್ತಿರಿ.
24 ಬೆಳೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಐದನೆಯ ಪಾಲನ್ನು ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು. ನಾಲ್ಕು ಪಾಲು ಹೊಲದ ಬೀಜಕ್ಕಾ ಗಿಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆಹಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಆಹಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಇರಲಿ ಅಂದನು.
25 ಆಗ ಅವರು--ನೀನೇ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬದುಕಿಸಿದ್ದೀ, ನಮ್ಮ ಒಡೆಯನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ನಮಗೆ ಕೃಪೆ ದೊರಕಲಿ. ನಾವು ಫರೋಹನ ದಾಸರಾಗಿರುವೆವು ಅಂದರು.
26 ಹೀಗೆ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ ಐದನೆಯ ಪಾಲು ಆಗಬೇಕೆಂಬದನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಇಂದಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ನೇಮಕಮಾಡಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ ದನು. ವೈದಿಕರ ಭೂಮಿಯು ಮಾತ್ರ ಫರೋಹ ನದಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
27 ಆದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದ ಗೋಷೆನ್‌ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿ ಬೆಳೆದು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದ್ದರು.
28 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹದಿನೇಳು ವರುಷ ಬದುಕಿದನು. ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಬದುಕಿದ ದಿನಗಳು ನೂರ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತೇಳು ವರುಷಗಳು.
29 ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನು ಸಾಯುವ ಸಮಯವು ಸವಿಾಪಿಸಿ ದಾಗ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋಸೇಫನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಿಸಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಈಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಕೃಪೆ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದೇಯಾದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ತೊಡೆಯ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಇಟ್ಟು ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ದಯೆಯನ್ನೂ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ತೋರಿಸು. ಹೇಗಂದರೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೂಣಿಡಬೇಡ.
30 ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ನಾನು ಮಲಗಬೇಕು. ಐಗುಪ್ತದಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡುಹೋಗಿ ಅವರ ಸಮಾಧಿಯ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೂಣಿಡು ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕವನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತಿನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಾನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
31 ಯಾಕೋಬನು--ನನಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡು ಅಂದಾಗ ಅವನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನು ಮಂಚದ ತಲೆದೆಸೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಗಿಕೊಂಡನು.
1 Then Joseph came and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brethren, and their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, are come out of the land of Canaan; and, behold, they are in the land of Goshen.
2 And he took some of his brethren, even five men, and presented them unto Pharaoh.
3 And Pharaoh said unto his brethren, What is your occupation? And they said unto Pharaoh, Thy servants are shepherds, both we, and also our fathers.
4 They said moreover unto Pharaoh, For to sojourn in the land are we come; for thy servants have no pasture for their flocks; for the famine is sore in the land of Canaan: now therefore, we pray thee, let thy servants dwell in the land of Goshen.
5 And Pharaoh spake unto Joseph, saying, Thy father and thy brethren are come unto thee:
6 The land of Egypt is before thee; in the best of the land make thy father and brethren to dwell; in the land of Goshen let them dwell: and if thou knowest any men of activity among them, then make them rulers over my cattle.
7 And Joseph brought in Jacob his father, and set him before Pharaoh: and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.
8 And Pharaoh said unto Jacob, How old art thou?
9 And Jacob said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are an hundred and thirty years: few and evil have the days of the years of my life been, and have not attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.
10 And Jacob blessed Pharaoh, and went out from before Pharaoh.
11 And Joseph placed his father and his brethren, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded.
12 And Joseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his father’s household, with bread, according to their families.
13 And there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very sore, so that the land of Egypt and all the land of Canaan fainted by reason of the famine.
14 And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corn which they bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh’s house.
15 And when money failed in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came unto Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we die in thy presence? for the money faileth.
16 And Joseph said, Give your cattle; and I will give you for your cattle, if money fail.
17 And they brought their cattle unto Joseph: and Joseph gave them bread in exchange for horses, and for the flocks, and for the cattle of the herds, and for the asses: and he fed them with bread for all their cattle for that year.
18 When that year was ended, they came unto him the second year, and said unto him, We will not hide it from my lord, how that our money is spent; my lord also hath our herds of cattle; there is not ought left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands:
19 Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate.
20 And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh’s.
21 And as for the people, he removed them to cities from one end of the borders of Egypt even to the other end thereof.
22 Only the land of the priests bought he not; for the priests had a portion assigned them of Pharaoh, and did eat their portion which Pharaoh gave them: wherefore they sold not their lands.
23 Then Joseph said unto the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for you, and ye shall sow the land.
24 And it shall come to pass in the increase, that ye shall give the fifth part unto Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones.
25 And they said, Thou hast saved our lives: let us find grace in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh’s servants.
26 And Joseph made it a law over the land of Egypt unto this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth part; except the land of the priests only, which became not Pharaoh’s.
27 And Israel dwelt in the land of Egypt, in the country of Goshen; and they had possessions therein, and grew, and multiplied exceedingly.
28 And Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen years: so the whole age of Jacob was an hundred forty and seven years.
29 And the time drew nigh that Israel must die: and he called his son Joseph, and said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh, and deal kindly and truly with me; bury me not, I pray thee, in Egypt:
30 But I will lie with my fathers, and thou shalt carry me out of Egypt, and bury me in their buryingplace. And he said, I will do as thou hast said.
31 And he said, Swear unto me. And he sware unto him. And Israel bowed himself upon the bed’s head.
Exodus 13 in Tamil and English
1 ଏହାପରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାଶାଙ୍କେୁ କହିଲେ,
And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2 ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ମନୁଷ୍ଯ ହେଉ କି ପଶୁ ହେଉ, ଯେ କହେି ପ୍ରଥମେ ଜାତ ହବେ, ସହେି ପ୍ରଥମଜାତ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ଯ ରେ ପ୍ରଦାନ କର, ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭର।
Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine.
3 ମାଶାେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଏହି ଦିବସକୁ ମନେ ରଖ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମିଶର ରେ ଦାସ ଥିଲ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ମହାନ୍ ଶକ୍ତି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ଦିନ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିଥିଲା। ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତାଡିଶୂନ୍ଯ ରୋଟୀ ଭକ୍ଷଣ କରିବ।
And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the Lord brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.
4 ଆଜି ଆବୀବ୍ ମାସ ରେ ଏହି ଦିନ ରେ ବାହାର ହେଲେ।
This day came ye out in the month Abib.
5 ଆଉ ଯେତବେେଳେ କିଣାନୀଯ, ହିତ୍ତୀଯ, ଇ ମାରେୀଯ, ହିଦ୍ଦୀଯ ଓ ୟିବୂଷୀଯ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଯେଉଁ ଉନ୍ନତ ଦେଶ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଦବୋକୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖ ରେ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଥିଲେ, ସହେି ଦେଶକୁ ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦବେେ।
And it shall be when the Lord shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, that thou shalt keep this service in this month.
6 ସାତଦିନ ୟାଏ ତାଡୀଶୂନ୍ଯ ରୋଟୀ ଖାଇବ। ଏବଂ ସପ୍ତମଦିନ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ଯ ରେ ତାଙ୍କର ସମ୍ମାନାର୍ଥେ ଏକ ବଡ ଭୋଜିର ଆଯୋଜନ କରିବ।
Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to the Lord.
7 ତେଣୁ ସାତଦିନ ପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତାଡିଶୂନ୍ଯ ରୋଟୀ ଖାଇବ। ଏବଂ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଦେଶ ରେ କୌଣସିଠା ରେ ତାଡୀ ମିଶ୍ରୀତ ରୋଟୀ ଯେପରି କହେି ନଖାନ୍ତି।
Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with thee, neither shall there be leaven seen with thee in all thy quarters.
8 ସହେିଦିନ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପିଲାମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିଶ୍ଚଯ କହିବ, 'ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ଭୋଜିର ଆଯୋଜନ କରିଛୁ ଯେ ହତେୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭଛୁ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ମିଶରରୁ ଏହିଦିନ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିଥିଲେ।'
And thou shalt shew thy son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which the Lord did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt.
9 ଏହି ପବିତ୍ର ଦିନଟିକୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମନେ ରଖିବ। ଏହା ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭ ମୁଖ ରେ ରହିବ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଏହା ଚିହ୍ନ ସ୍ବରୂପ ତୁମ୍ଭ ହସ୍ତ ରେ ଓ ସ୍ମରଣର ଉପାଯ ସ୍ବରୂପ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଦ୍ବଯର ମଧ୍ଯସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ରହିବ। ଯେ ହତେୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରାକ୍ରାନ୍ତ ହସ୍ତଦ୍ବାରା ମିଶରଠାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିଛନ୍ତି।
And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the Lord’s law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the Lord brought thee out of Egypt.
10 ତେଣୁ ଏହି ସ୍ମରଣୀଯ ଦିବସଟିକୁ ବିଧି ଅନୁସାରେ ପାଳନ କରିବ।
Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year to year.
11 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କର ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା ରକ୍ଷା କରିବେ। ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସହେି ଦେଶକୁ ନଇେଯିବେ, ଯେ ହତେୁ ସେ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଛନ୍ତି। ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ସଠାେରେ କିଣାନୀଯମାନେ ବାସ କରୁଛନ୍ତି। କିନ୍ତୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଥିଲେ ଯେ, ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସହେି ଦେଶ ଦବେେ।
And it shall be when the Lord shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, as he sware unto thee and to thy fathers, and shall give it thee,
12 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଶ୍ଚଯ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରଥମଜାତ ପୁତ୍ରକୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରିବ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଗୋରୁଗାଈମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଥମଜାତ ପୁଂପଶୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଦବୋ ଉଚିତ୍।
That thou shalt set apart unto the Lord all that openeth the matrix, and every firstling that cometh of a beast which thou hast; the males shall be the Lord’s.
13 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମଷେଶାବକ ଦଇେ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ପ୍ରଥମଜାତ ଗଧକୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିପାରିବ। ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୁକ୍ତ ନ କର, ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତା'ର ବକେକୁ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ଦବୋ ଉଚିତ୍। ତାହା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ଯ ରେ ବଳିଦାନ ହବେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରଥମ ସନ୍ତାନ ପୁତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିବାକୁ ହବେ।
And every firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb; and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break his neck: and all the firstborn of man among thy children shalt thou redeem.
14 ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସନ୍ତାନମାନେ ପଚାରିବେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାହିଁକି ଏପରି କରୁଛ? ଏବଂ ସମାନେେ ପଚାରିବେ, 'ଏସବୁର ଅର୍ଥ କ'ଣ? ଏବଂ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଉତ୍ତର ହବେ, 'ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କର ମହାନ ଶକ୍ତି ବଳ ରେ ମିଶରଠାରୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରିଛନ୍ତି। ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସଠାେରେ ଦାସ ଥିଲୁ। କିନ୍ତୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଠାରୁେ ବାହାର କରି ଏଠାକୁ ନଇେ ଆସିଛନ୍ତି।
And it shall be when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand the Lord brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:
15 ମିଶର ରେ, ଫାରୋ ଥିଲେ ଅତି କଠାେର ମନା। ସେ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ୟିବାକୁ ଦେଉନଥିଲେ, ତେଣୁ ସଠାେରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରଥମଜାତ ପୁତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କୁ, ପ୍ରଥମଜାତ ପଶୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିଥିଲେ। ସହେି କାରଣରୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ପଶୁମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଥମଜାତ ଅଣ୍ଡିରା ପଶୁ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରୁ କିନ୍ତୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଥମଜାତ ପୁତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କୁ ତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟରୁ କିଣି ଫରୋଇ ଆଣୁ।'
And it came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that the Lord slew all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of beast: therefore I sacrifice to the Lord all that openeth the matrix, being males; but all the firstborn of my children I redeem.
16 ଏହା ଚିହ୍ନ ସ୍ବରୂପେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ହସ୍ତ ରେ ଓ ଭୂଷଣ ସ୍ବରୂପେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଦ୍ବଯର ମଧ୍ଯସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ରହିବ। ଯେ ହତେୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ବାହୁବଳ ରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ମିଶରରୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିଲେ।
And it shall be for a token upon thine hand, and for frontlets between thine eyes: for by strength of hand the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt.
17 ଏବଂ ତା'ପରେ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଫାରୋ ମାରେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ମିଶର ଛାଡିବାକୁ ଦେଲେ, ଯଦିଓ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଦେଶକୁ ୟିବା ପାଇଁ ନିକଟ ବାଟ ଥିଲା, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ସେ ପଥରେ ନେଲେ ନାହିଁ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହିଲେ, ଯଦି ଲୋକମାନେ ଏ ବାଟରେ ୟାଆନ୍ତି। ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ହୁଏତ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବାକୁ ପଡିପା ରେ। ତବେେ ହୁଏତ ସମାନେେ ତାଙ୍କର ମତ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ କରି ପାରନ୍ତି ଓ ମିଶରକୁ ଫରେିୟାଇ ପାରନ୍ତି।
And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:
18 ତେଣୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଅନ୍ୟ ଏକ ପଥରେ ଆଗଇେ ନେଲେ। ସେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ସୂପ ସମୁଦ୍ର ପ୍ରାନ୍ତର ମଧ୍ଯ ଦଇେ ଆଣିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ମିଶର ଛାଡିବା ସମୟରେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟମାନେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ ପାଇଁ ପୋଷାକ ପରିଧାନ କରିଥିଲେ।
But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.
19 ମାଶାେ ଯୋଷଫଙ୍କେର ଅସ୍ତି ସାଙ୍ଗ ରେ ନଇେ ଆସିଲେ। ଯୋଷଫଙ୍କେ ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ସେ ତାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରାଇଥିଲେ, ଏପରି କରିବା ପାଇଁ। ଯୋଷଫେ କହିଥିଲେ, ଯେତବେେଳେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବେ। ମନରେଖ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମାରେ ଅସ୍ତି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ମିଶରରୁ ନଇୟିବେ।
And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him: for he had straitly sworn the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you; and ye shall carry up my bones away hence with you.
20 ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକମାନେ ସୁକ୍କୋତଠାରୁ ଛାଡ଼ି ଏଥମ ରେ ଛାଉଣୀ ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲେ। ଏଥମ ମରୁଭୂମି ନିକଟବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଥିଲା।
And they took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness.
21 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଆଗକୁ ପଥ କଢାଇ ନେଲେ, ଦିନ ବେଳେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ମେଘସ୍ତମ୍ଭ ଦ୍ବାରା ରାସ୍ତା ଦଖାଇେଲେ ଏବଂ ରାତି ରେ ସେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଅଗ୍ନିସ୍ତମ୍ଭ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ ରେ ଆଗଇେ ନେଲେ।
And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:
22 ଦିନ ସମୟରେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଘନ ବାଦଲ ଏ ରାତ୍ର ସମୟରେ ଆଲୋକ ସ୍ତମ୍ଭ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ସହିତ ସର୍ବଦା ରଖିଲେ।
He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.
