ಲಾಬಾನನಿಗೆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರಿದ್ದರು. ಹಿರಿಯಳ ಹೆಸರು ಲೇಯಳು, ಕಿರಿಯಳ ಹೆಸರು ರಾಹೇಲಳು.

ಲೇಯಳ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಮೃದುವಾಗಿದ್ದವು; ಆದರೆ ರಾಹೇಲಳು ಬಹು ಸುಂದರಿಯೂ ರೂಪವತಿಯೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಳು.

ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ನೋಡಲಾಗಿ ಆಕೆಯು ಲೇಯಳಾಗಿದ್ದಳು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಲಾಬಾನನಿಗೆ--ಇದೇನು ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಿ? ರಾಹೇಲಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡಿದೆನಲ್ಲಾ? ಯಾಕೆ ನನಗೆ ಮೋಸಮಾಡಿದಿ ಅಂದನು.
