ಇಸಾಕನು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿ ಯಾದ ಸಾರಳ ಗುಡಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದನು. ಅವನು ರೆಬೆಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸಿದನು. ಆಕೆಯು ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದಳು; ಅವನು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಮಾಡಿದನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಇಸಾಕನು ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಮರಣದ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆದರಣೆ ಹೊಂದಿದನು.
