ಮೋಶೆಯು ಕರ್ತನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬರೆದು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಎದ್ದು ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಕುಲಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದನು.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸ್ತಂಭವಾಗಿ ನಾನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಈ ಕಲ್ಲು ದೇವರ ಮನೆಯಾಗಿರುವದು. ಆಗ ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಡುವದ ರಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹತ್ತರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ನಾನು ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.
