Exodus 18:23
ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ದೇವರು ನಿನಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ ನೀನು ಇದನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲು ಶಕ್ತ ನಾಗುವಿ. ಈ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನದಿಂದ ಹೋಗುವರು ಅಂದನು.

ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರು ಯೊರ್ದನನ್ನು ದಾಟಿದರು. ಅರಸನು ದಾಟಿ ಬಂದಾಗ ಬರ್ಜಿಲ್ಲೈ ಯನ್ನು ಮುದ್ದಿಟ್ಟು ಅವನನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದನು.

ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಸಮುವೇಲನಿಗೆ--ಅವರ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸು ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಜನರಿಗೆ--ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.
