ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗಂಡಸರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪಶುಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಗರ್ಭ ತೆರೆಯುವ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲಾದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನಗಾಗಿ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡು; ಅದು ನನ್ನದೇ ಅಂದನು.

ಪ್ರಥಮ ಗರ್ಭ ತೆರೆಯುವದೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನ್ನದೇ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಶುಗಳಾಗಲಿ ಎತ್ತುಗಳಾಗಲಿ ಟಗರುಗಳಾಗಲಿ ಮೊದಲು ಹುಟ್ಟುವ ಗಂಡಾದವುಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನ್ನವೇ.

ನಿನ್ನ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಫಲಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲ ನೆಯದನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ತರ ಬೇಕು. ಮೇಕೆಯ ಮರಿಯನ್ನು ತಾಯಿಯ ಹಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಯಿಸಬಾರದು.

ಗರ್ಭ ತೆರೆಯುವದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂದರೆ ನಿನಗಿರುವ ಪಶುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸಬೇಕು. ಗಂಡಾದವುಗಳು ಕರ್ತನವುಗಳೇ.

ಆಗ ನೀನು ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲು ನನ್ನ ಮಗನು. ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲ ಮಗನೇ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬೇಕು.
