Esther 3:1
ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಾದ ತರುವಾಯ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಹಷ್ವೇರೋಷನು ಅಗಾಗ್ಯನಾದ ಹಮ್ಮೆದಾತನ ಮಗನಾದ ಹಾಮಾನನನ್ನು ದೊಡ್ಡವ ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪ್ರಧಾನರಿಗಿಂತ ಅವನ ಆಸನವನ್ನು ಉನ್ನತ ಮಾಡಿದನು.

ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಉಂಗುರವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ವೈರಿಯಾದ ಅಗಾಗನಾದ ಹಮ್ಮೆದಾತನ ಮಗನಾದ ಹಾಮಾನನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

ಎಸ್ತೇರಳು ಅರಸನ ಮುಂದೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಅವನ ಪಾದಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಅತ್ತು ಅಗಾಗನಾದ ಹಾಮಾನನ ಕೇಡನ್ನೂ ಅವನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಯೋಚಿಸಿದ ಯೋಚನೆಯನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆ ದುಹಾಕಲು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡಳು.

ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಸ್ತೇರಳು--ವೈರಿಯೂ ಶತ್ರುವೂ ಯಾರಂದರೆ ಈ ಕೆಟ್ಟವನಾದ ಹಾಮಾನನೇ ಅಂದಳು. ಆಗ ಹಾಮಾನನು ಅರಸನ, ರಾಣಿಯ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆದರಿ ಕೊಂಡನು.
