ಆ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸ ನಾದ ಅಹಷ್ವೇರೋಷನು ರಾಜಧಾನಿ ಶೂಷನ್ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ತನ್ನ ರಾಜ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತಿರುವಾಗ

Daniel 8:2
ಈ ದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ನಾನು ಏಲಾಮ್ ಸೀಮೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಶೂಷನ್ನ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೆನು. ಆ ದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಊಲಾ ನದಿಯ ದಡದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತಿ ರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನನಗೆ ತೋರಿತು.

ಕರ್ತನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಅವನ ಸುತ್ತಲಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ ಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ತರುವಾಯ ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾಗ ಏನಾಯಿತಂದರೆ,

ರೂಪವತಿಯಾದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಕನ್ಯಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ರಾಜ ಧಾನಿಯಾದ ಶೂಷನಿಗೆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಇರುವ ಅರಮ ನೆಗೆ, ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಾವಲಾಗಿ ಇರುವ ಅರಸನ ಅಧಿ ಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಹೇಗ್ಯನೆಂಬವನ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪ್ರಾಂತಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಲಿ; ಅವರಿಗೆ ಶುಚಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ವಸ್ತುಗಳು ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಡಲಿ.
Esther 3:15
ಅಂಚೆ ಯವರು ಅರಸನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯಿಂದ ತ್ವರೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದರು. ಶೂಷನ್ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯು ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು. ಅರಸನೂ ಹಾಮಾನನೂ ಕುಡಿಯಲು ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡರು. ಆದರೆ ಶೂಷನ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ತಳ ಮಳಗೊಂಡಿತು.
Esther 4:16
ನಾನೂ ನನ್ನ ದಾಸಿಯರೂ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಉಪವಾಸ ಮಾಡುವೆವು. ಅನಂತರ ನಾನು ಆಜ್ಞೆ ವಿಾರಿ ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವೆನು. ನಾನು ನಾಶವಾದರೆ ನಾಶವಾಗುವೆನು ಅಂದಳು.

ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ರಾಣಿಯಾದ ಎಸ್ತೇರಳಿಗೆ--ಯೆಹೂ ದ್ಯರು ಶೂಷನಿನ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಐನೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಯನ್ನೂ ಹಾಮಾನನ ಹತ್ತು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಂದು ನಾಶಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಅರಸನ ಮಿಕ್ಕಾದ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನು? ಈಗ ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆ ಏನು? ಅದು ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಡುವದು. ಇನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಬೇಡುವಿಕೆ ಏನು? ಅದು ಮಾಡಲ್ಪಡುವದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನೆಂಬ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಷೇಮವಾಗಿಯೂ ನನ್ನ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಖವಾ ಗಿಯೂ ಇರುವಾಗ;
