ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ದಾವೀದ ನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದಾಗ ಆ ಜನರು ಬಹಳ ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಟ್ಟದ್ದ ರಿಂದ ದಾವೀದನು ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆದುರಾಗಿ ಕಳು ಹಿಸಿ--ನಿಮ್ಮ ಗಡ್ಡಗಳು ಬೆಳೆಯುವವರೆಗೆ ನೀವು ಯೆರಿಕೋವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾದಿದ್ದು ತರುವಾಯ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
