Jeremiah 50:16
ಬಿತ್ತುವವನನ್ನೂ ಸುಗ್ಗಿ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಡುಗೋಲು ಹಿಡಿಯುವವನನ್ನೂ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನೊಳ ಗಿಂದ ಕಡಿದು ಬಿಡಿರಿ; ಕಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸುವ ಕತ್ತಿಯ ಭಯದಿಂದ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಜನರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು; ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಓಡಿ ಹೋಗುವರು.

ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಹಿರಿಯರನ್ನೂ ಕಿರಿಯರನ್ನೂ ಚೂರು ಚೂರಾಗಿ ಒಡೆದು ಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ, ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥನನ್ನೂ ಕನ್ನಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ಚೂರು ಚೂರಾಗಿ ಒಡೆದು ಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ, ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಒಕ್ಕಲಿಗನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ನೊಗದ ಎತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಚೂರು ಚೂರಾಗಿ ಒಡೆದು ಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ, ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಚೂರು ಚೂರಾಗಿ ಒಡೆದುಬಿಡು ತ್ತೇನೆ.

ಆದದ ರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು, ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು, ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಗೋಳಾಟ ಗಳು, ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ಅಯ್ಯೋ ಅನ್ನು ವರು. ಒಕ್ಕಲಿಗರನ್ನು ದುಃಖಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಪ್ರಲಾಪಿ ಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ತಿಳಿದವರನ್ನು ಗೋಳಾಟಕ್ಕೂ ಕರೆಯುವರು.
