Jeremiah 32:28
ಆದದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸು ತ್ತೇನೆ; ಅವನು ಅದನ್ನು ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.

ಇಗೋ, ಪರ್ವತಗಳು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಬಂದಿವೆ; ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುವ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕತ್ತಿ, ಕ್ಷಾಮ, ಜಾಡ್ಯಗಳ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ; ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು; ಇಗೋ, ನೀನು ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತೀ.

ಆದದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿದನು. ಅವನು ಅವರ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಾನವಾದ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಪ್ರಾಯಸ್ಥರನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದನು. ಪ್ರಾಯಸ್ಥನ ಮೇಲಾದರೂ ಕನ್ಯಾ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಮೇಲಾ ದರೂ ವೃದ್ಧನ ಮೇಲಾದರೂ ಅತೀ ವೃದ್ಧನ ಮೇಲಾ ದರೂ ಕನಿಕರಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆತನು ಸಮಸ್ತವನ್ನು ಅವನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದನು.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನೂ ಅದರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಷ್ಟಾರ್ಜಿತವನ್ನೂ ಅದರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಯೆಹೂ ದದ ಅರಸರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಭಂಡಾರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವೆನು; ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಕೈಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವೆನು. ಅವರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಲುಕೊಂಡು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಾಬೆಲಿಗೆ ಒಯ್ಯುವರು.
