Hosea 10:15
ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಹಳ ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಬೇತೇಲು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡುವದು. ಬೆಳಗಿನ ಜಾವದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಕಡಿಯಲ್ಪ ಡುವನು (ಹಾಳಾಗುವನು).

ಅವರು--ನಮಗೆ ಅರಸನಿಲ್ಲ, ನಾವು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಅರಸನು ನಮಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡುವನು ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.

ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಹಿತವಾದದ್ದು ನನಗೆ ಮರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಯಿತೋ? ಹಾಗೆ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಅಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ಪಾಪವು ಹಿತವಾದದ್ದರ ಮೂಲಕ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮರಣವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅದು ಪಾಪವೇ ಎಂದು ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿತು. ಹೀಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಪಾಪವು ಅತ್ಯಧಿಕವಾದ ಪಾಪವಾಗಿ ತೋರಿಬಂತು.
