Genesis 35:10
ದೇವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಈಗ ನಿನಗೆ ಯಾಕೋಬನೆಂದು ಹೆಸರಿ ರುವದು. ಆದರೆ ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ನೀನು ಯಾಕೋಬ ನೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡದೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು.
