ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ತನ್ನ ದೂತನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು; ಅವನು ಅಶ್ಶೂರಿನ ಅರಸನ ದಂಡಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪರಾ ಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಾಯಕರನ್ನೂ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಿರ್ಮೂಲಮಾಡಿದನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಇವನು ಲಜ್ಜಾ ಮುಖದಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿದನು. ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವನ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದರು.
