ಅಶ್ಶೂರಿನ ಅರಸನು ಬಾಬೆಲಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಕೂತಾ ಅವ್ವಾ ಹಮಾತ್ ಸೆಫರ್ವಯಿಮಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಜನರನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಬದ ಲಾಗಿ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿಸಿದನು. ಇವರು ಸಮಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿದರು.

ಹೋಶೇ ಯನ ಒಂಭತ್ತನೇ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಶ್ಶೂರಿನ ಅರಸನು ಸಮಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ಅಶ್ಶೂರಿಗೆ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಒಯ್ದು ಗೋಜಾನು ನದಿಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಹಲಹುನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹಾಬೋರಿನ ಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮೇದ್ಯರ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಇರಿಸಿದನು.
