ಮೆನಹೇಮನು ಈ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನವರಿಂದ ಬರಮಾಡಿದನು. ಹೇಗಂದರೆ, ಅಶ್ಶೂರದ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಲು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತ ರಿಂದ ತಲಾ ಐವತ್ತು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಶೆಕೇಲುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಂಡನು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅಶ್ಶೂರದ ಅರಸನು ದೇಶ ದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲದೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೋದನು.

ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀ ಮನು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನೂ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನೂ ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಫರೋಹನೆಕೋವಿನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅವನು ಹಣವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವಂತೆ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕಪ್ಪವನ್ನು ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಅವನು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನೂ ಬಂಗಾರ ವನ್ನೂ ನೇಕೊವೆಂಬ ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ದೇಶದ ಜನರಿಂದ ಪ್ರತಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ತೆರಿಗೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಬಲವಂತವಾಗಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡನು.
Job 1:3
ಅವನ ಸಂಪತ್ತು--ಏಳು ಸಾವಿರ ಕುರಿಗಳು, ಮೂರು ಸಾವಿರ ಒಂಟೆಗಳು, ಐನೂರು ಜೋಡು ಎತ್ತುಗಳು, ಐನೂರು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಕತ್ತೆಗಳೂ ಮತ್ತು ಬಹು ಸೇವಕರ ಸಮೂಹವಿತ್ತು. ಹೀಗೆ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮೂಡಣದವರಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಬಹು ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವುಳ್ಳವ ನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
