1 Samuel 22 in Kannada

1 ದಾವೀದನು ಆ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅದುಲ್ಲಾಮೆಂಬ ಗವಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು. ಈ ವರ್ತಮಾನವನ್ನು ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರರೂ ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕೇಳಿ ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು.

2 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಶ್ರಮೆಪಟ್ಟವರೂ ಸಾಲಗಾರರೂ ತೃಪ್ತಿಯಿಲ್ಲದವರೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಆಗ ಅವರಿಗೆ ದಾವೀದನು ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾದನು, ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಡಿಮೆ ನಾನೂರು ಜನರು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದರು.

3 ದಾವೀದನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಮೋವಾಬ್‌ ದೇಶದ ಮಿಚ್ಪೆಗೆ ಬಂದು ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಅರಸನಿಗೆದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡುವನೋ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ತಿಳಿಯುವವರೆಗೂ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ತಾಯಿಗಳು ಹೊರಟು ಬಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರತಂದು ಬಿಟ್ಟನು.

4 ದಾವೀದನು ಗವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದ ದಿವಸಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರು ಆ ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದರು.

5 ಆದರೆ ಗಾದ್‌ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಗವಿಯಲ್ಲಿರದೆ ಯೆಹೂದ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟು ಬಾ ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ಹೊರಟು ಹೆರೆತ್‌ ಎಂಬ ಅರಣ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದನು.

6 ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡವಿರುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯ ರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದರೆಂಬ ವರ್ತಮಾನವನ್ನು ಸೌಲನು ಕೇಳಿದನು. (ಸೌಲನು ಗಿಬೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಮರದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಈಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಡಿದು ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡನು; ಅವನ ಸೇವಕರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದರು.)

7 ಆಗ ಸೌಲನು ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ--ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ಕೇಳಿರಿ; ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಒಳಸಂಚು ನಡಿಸು ವಂತೆ ಇಷಯನ ಮಗನು ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಹೊಲ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇತೋಟಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡುವನೋ? ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಸಾವಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಯಜಮಾನರಾಗಿಯೂ ನೂರಕ್ಕೆ ಯಜಮಾನರಾಗಿಯೂ ಇಡುವನೋ?

8 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನನ್ನ ಮಗನು ಇಷಯನ ಮಗನ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನೂ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ನನ ಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಚಿಂತಿಸಿ ನನ್ನ ಮಗನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಅಡಗಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕ ನನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಯಾವನೂ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.

9 ಆಗ ಸೌಲನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ ಯಜಮಾನನಾಗಿದ್ದ ಎದೋಮ್ಯನಾದ ದೋಯೇಗನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ--ಇಷಯನ ಮಗನು ನೋಬದ ಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅಹೀಟೂಬನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಹೀಮೆಲೆಕನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದದ್ದನ್ನು ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದೆನು.

10 ಇವನು ಅವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯನಾದ ಗೊಲ್ಯಾತನ ಕತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು ಅಂದನು.

11 ಅರಸನು ಅಹೀಟೂ ಬನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯಾಜಕನಾಗಿರುವ ಅಹೀಮೆಲಕ ನನ್ನೂ ನೋಬದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಯಾಜಕರಾಗಿರುವ ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಕರೇ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.

12 ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು. ಆಗ ಸೌಲನು--ಅಹೀಟೂಬನ ಮಗನೇ, ಕೇಳು ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕವನು--ಇಗೋ, ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನೇ, ನಾನು ಇಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.

13 ಸೌಲನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನೂ ಇಷಯನ ಮಗನೂ ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಒಳಸಂಚು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನು? ಅವನು ಅಡಗಿಕೊಂಡು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋ ಧವಾಗಿ ಏಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಅವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿದ್ದೇನು ಅಂದನು.

14 ಅಹೀಮೆಲೆಕನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ--ನಿನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸೇವಕರಲ್ಲಿ ದಾವೀದನ ಹಾಗೆ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತನಾದವನು ಯಾವನಿ ದ್ದಾನೆ? ಅವನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಅಳಿಯನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವವನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಘನವುಳ್ಳವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

15 ನಾನು ಅವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದೆನೋ? ಅದು ನನಗೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿರಲಿ. ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನ ಮೇಲಾ ದರೂ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯವರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರ ಮೇಲಾ ದರೂ ಅಪರಾಧ ಹೊರಿಸಬಾರದು; ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನು ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದದ್ದನ್ನಾದರೂ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾದದ್ದನ್ನಾ ದರೂ ತಿಳಿದವನಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.

16 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅರಸನುಅಹೀಮೆಲೆಕನೇ, ನೀನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯವ ರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಸಾಯಲೇಬೇಕು ಅಂದನು.

17 ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿರುವ ಕಾಲಾಳಿಗೆನೀವು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಕರ್ತನ ಯಾಜಕರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಿರಿ. ಅವರ ಕೈ ದಾವೀದನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಹಾಯ ವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅವನು ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವದನ್ನು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದು ಅದನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸದೆ ಹೋದರು ಅಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅರಸನ ಸೇವಕರು ಕರ್ತನ ಯಾಜಕರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳಲು ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಚಾಚಲೊಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋದರು.

18 ಅರಸನು ದೋಯೇಗನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಯಾಜಕರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳು ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಎದೋಮ್ಯನಾದ ದೋಯೇಗನು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಯಾಜಕರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ನಾರುಬಟ್ಟೆಯ ಎಫೋದನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರಾದ ಎಂಭತ್ತೈದು ಜನರನ್ನು ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಂದನು.

19 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯಾಜಕರ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ವಾದ ನೋಬಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಪುರುಷರನ್ನೂ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ರನ್ನೂ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ ಕೂಸುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಎತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದನು.

20 ಆದರೆ ಅಹೀಟೂಬನ ಮಗನಾಗಿರುವ ಅಹೀಮೆ ಲೆಕನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾದ ಎಬ್ಯಾತಾರನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡು ದಾವೀದನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಓಡಿಹೋದನು.

21 ಸೌಲನು ಕರ್ತನ ಯಾಜಕರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದ ವರ್ತಮಾನವನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಯಾತಾರನು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿ ದನು.

22 ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ಎಬ್ಯಾತಾರನಿಗೆ--ಎದೋಮ್ಯನಾದ ದೋಯೇಗನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಸೌಲನಿಗೆ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸುವನೆಂದು ನಾನು ಆ ಹೊತ್ತು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೆನು. ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಪ್ರಾಣಹತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣನಾದವನು ನಾನೇ.

23 ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರು; ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯಬೇಕೆಂದಿರು ವವನೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತನಾಗಿರುವಿ ಅಂದನು.

1 David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father’s house heard it, they went down thither to him.

2 And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.

3 And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come forth, and be with you, till I know what God will do for me.

4 And he brought them before the king of Moab: and they dwelt with him all the while that David was in the hold.

5 And the prophet Gad said unto David, Abide not in the hold; depart, and get thee into the land of Judah. Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hareth.

6 When Saul heard that David was discovered, and the men that were with him, (now Saul abode in Gibeah under a tree in Ramah, having his spear in his hand, and all his servants were standing about him;)

7 Then Saul said unto his servants that stood about him, Hear now, ye Benjamites; will the son of Jesse give every one of you fields and vineyards, and make you all captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds;

8 That all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that sheweth me that my son hath made a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or sheweth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?

9 Then answered Doeg the Edomite, which was set over the servants of Saul, and said, I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.

10 And he inquired of the Lord for him, and gave him victuals, and gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine.

11 Then the king sent to call Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father’s house, the priests that were in Nob: and they came all of them to the king.

12 And Saul said, Hear now, thou son of Ahitub. And he answered, Here I am, my lord.

13 And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast inquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?

14 Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who is so faithful among all thy servants as David, which is the king’s son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is honourable in thine house?

15 Did I then begin to inquire of God for him? be it far from me: let not the king impute any thing unto his servant, nor to all the house of my father: for thy servant knew nothing of all this, less or more.

16 And the king said, Thou shalt surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all thy father’s house.

17 And the king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the Lord; because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not shew it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the Lord.

18 And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod.

19 And Nob, the city of the priests, smote he with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and sucklings, and oxen, and asses, and sheep, with the edge of the sword.

20 And one of the sons of Ahimelech the son of Ahitub, named Abiathar, escaped, and fled after David.

21 And Abiathar shewed David that Saul had slain the Lord’s priests.

22 And David said unto Abiathar, I knew it that day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would surely tell Saul: I have occasioned the death of all the persons of thy father’s house.

23 Abide thou with me, fear not: for he that seeketh my life seeketh thy life: but with me thou shalt be in safeguard.
