ಆಗ ಬದುಕಿರುವ ಕೂಸಿನ ತಾಯಿಯಾದವಳ ಕರುಳುಗಳು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಿಗಾಗಿ ಮರುಗಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವಳು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ--ಓ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆ ಯನೇ, ಬದುಕಿರುವ ಕೂಸನ್ನು ಇವಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಡು; ಕೊಲ್ಲಲ್ಲೇ ಬೇಡ ಅಂದಳು. ಆದರೆ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬಳು--ಅದು ನನ್ನದಾಗಲಿ ನಿನ್ನದಾಗಲಿ ಆಗಿರಬಾರದು; ಕಡಿ ಯಿರಿ ಅಂದಳು.
