1 Kings 20:13
ಆಗ ಇಗೋ, ಒಬ್ಬ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇ ಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಹಾಬನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು--ಈ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗುಂಪನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಿಯೋ? ಇಗೋ, ನಾನೇ ಕರ್ತನೆಂದು ನೀನು ತಿಳಿಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಅದನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡುವೆನೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ ಅಂದನು.

ಆಗ ಎಲೀಷನು--ನೀವು ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ; ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು ತ್ತಾನೆ -- ನಾಳೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಇಷ್ಟು ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ಬಾಗಲಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಸೇರು ನಯವಾದ ಹಿಟ್ಟು ಒಂದು ಶೇಕೆಲಿಗೂ ಎರಡು ಸೇರು ಜವೆ ಗೋದಿಯು ಒಂದು ಶೇಕೆಲಿಗೂ ಮಾರಲ್ಪಡುವವು ಅಂದನು.

Exodus 16:12
ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಗುಣುಗುಟ್ಟು ವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ನೀನು ಮಾತ ನಾಡಿ--ನೀವು ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ಉಣ್ಣು ವಿರಿ, ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ತೃಪ್ತರಾಗುವಿರಿ. ನಾನೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳು ಅಂದನು.
