பின்பு கிதியோன் அவர்களை நோக்கி: உங்களிடத்தில் ஒரு காரியத்தைக் கேட்கிறேன்; நீங்கள் அவரவர் கொள்ளையிட்ட கடுக்கன்களை என்னிடத்தில் கொண்டுவாருங்கள் என்றான். அவர்கள் இஸ்மவேலராயிருந்தபடியினால் அவர்களிடத்தில் பொன்கடுக்கன்கள் இருந்தது.

ஆகையால்: நான் உன்னுடைய இடத்தில் உன் சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் அமர்த்தும் உன்னுடைய மகனே என்னுடைய நாமத்திற்கு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுவான் என்று கர்த்தர் என்னுடைய தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதிடம் சொன்னபடியே, என்னுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் நாமத்திற்கு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டவேண்டும் என்று இருக்கிறேன்.

“என் தந்தையான தாவீதிற்கு கர்த்தர் ஒரு வாக்குறுதியை அளித்திருக்கிறார். கர்த்தர், ‘உனக்குப் பிறகு உன் மகனை அரசனாக்குவேன். அவன் எனக்குப் பெருமை தரும்படி ஒரு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுவான்’ என்றார். இப்போது நான் என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரைப் பெருமைபடுத்த ஆலயம் கட்ட திட்டமிடுகிறேன்.
