Psalm 83
1 हे परमेश्वर मौन न रह; हे ईश्वर चुप न रह, और न शांत रह!
2 क्योंकि देख तेरे शत्रु धूम मचा रहे हैं; और तेरे बैरियों ने सिर उठाया है।
3 वे चतुराई से तेरी प्रजा की हानि की सम्मति करते, और तेरे रक्षित लोगों के विरुद्ध युक्तियां निकालते हैं।
4 उन्होंने कहा, आओ, हम उन को ऐसा नाश करें कि राज्य भी मिट जाए; और इस्त्राएल का नाम आगे को स्मरण न रहे।
5 उन्होंने एक मन हो कर युक्ति निकाली है, और तेरे ही विरुद्ध वाचा बान्धी है।
6 ये तो एदोम के तम्बू वाले और इश्माइली, मोआबी और हुग्री,
7 गबाली, अम्मोनी, अमालेकी, और सोर समेत पलिश्ती हैं।
8 इनके संग अश्शूरी भी मिल गए हैं; उन से भी लूतवंशियों को सहारा मिला है।
9 इन से ऐसा कर जैसा मिद्यानियों से, और कीशोन नाले में सीसरा और याबीन से किया था, जो एन्दोर में नाश हुए,
10 और भूमि के लिये खाद बन गए।
11 इनके रईसों को ओरेब और जाएब सरीखे, और इनके सब प्रधानों को जेबह और सल्मुन्ना के समान कर दे,
12 जिन्होंने कहा था, कि हम परमेश्वर की चराइयों के अधिकारी आप ही हो जाएं॥
13 हे मेरे परमेश्वर इन को बवन्डर की धूलि, वा पवन से उड़ाए हुए भूसे के समान कर दे।
14 उस आग की नाईं जो वन को भस्म करती है, और उस लौ की नाईं जो पहाड़ों को जला देती है,
15 तू इन्हे अपनी आंधी से भाग दे, और अपने बवन्डर से घबरा दे!
16 इनके मुंह को अति लज्जित कर, कि हे यहोवा ये तेरे नाम को ढूंढ़ें।
17 ये सदा के लिये लज्जित और घबराए रहें इनके मुंह काले हों, और इनका नाश हो जाए,
18 जिस से यह जानें कि केवल तू जिसका नाम यहोवा है, सारी पृथ्वी के ऊपर परमप्रधान है॥

2 Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.
3 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
4 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.
5 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
6 For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:
7 The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
8 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
9 Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.
10 Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:
11 Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.
12 Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:
13 Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.
14 O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.
15 As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;
16 So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.
17 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O Lord.
18 Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:
19 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, art the most high over all the earth.

1 मूढ़ ने अपने मन में कहा है, कि कोई परमेश्वर है ही नहीं। वे बिगड़ गए, उन्होंने कुटिलता के घिनौने काम किए हैं; कोई सुकर्मी नहीं॥
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.
2 परमेश्वर ने स्वर्ग पर से मनुष्यों के ऊपर दृष्टि की ताकि देखे कि कोई बुद्धि से चलने वाला वा परमेश्वर को पूछने वाला है कि नहीं॥
God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.
3 वे सब के सब हट गए; सब एक साथ बिगड़ गए; कोई सुकर्मी नहीं, एक भी नहीं॥ क्या उन सब अनर्थकारियों को कुछ भी ज्ञान नहीं?
Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
4 जो मेरे लोगों को ऐसे खाते हैं जैसे रोटी और परमेश्वर का नाम नहीं लेते?
Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.
5 वहां उन पर भय छा गया जहां भय का कोई कारण न था। क्योंकि यहोवा ने उनकी हडि्डयों को, जो तेरे विरुद्ध छावनी डाले पड़े थे, तितर बितर कर दिया; तू ने तो उन्हें लज्जित कर दिया इसलिये कि परमेश्वर ने उन को निकम्मा ठहराया है॥
There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.
6 भला होता कि इस्राएल का पूरा उद्धार सिय्योन से निकलता! जब परमेश्वर अपनी प्रजा को बन्धुवाई से लौटा ले आएगा तब याकूब मगन और इस्राएल आनन्दित होगा॥
Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
