Psalm 56
1 हे परमेश्वर, मुझ पर अनुग्रह कर, क्योंकि मनुष्य मुझे निगलना चाहते हैं। वे दिन भर लड़कर मुझे सताते हैं।
2 मेरे द्रोही दिन भर मुझे निगलना चाहते हैं, क्योंकि जो लोग अभिमान करके मुझ से लड़ते हैं वे बहुत हैं।
3 जिस समय मुझे डर लगेगा, मैं तुझ पर भरोसा रखूंगा।
4 परमेश्वर की सहायता से मैं उसके वचन की प्रशंसा करूंगा, परमेश्वर पर मैं ने भरोसा रखा है, मैं नहीं डरूंगा। कोई प्राणी मेरा क्या कर सकता है?
5 वे दिन भर मेरे वचनों को, उलटा अर्थ लगा लगाकर मरोड़ते रहते हैं उनकी सारी कल्पनाएं मेरी ही बुराई करने की होती है।
6 वे सब मिलकर इकट्ठे होते हैं और छिपकर बैठते हैं; वे मेरे कदमों को देखते भालते हैं मानों वे मेरे प्राणों की घात में ताक लगाए बैठें हों।
7 क्या वे बुराई करके भी बच जाएंगे? हे परमेश्वर, अपने क्रोध से देश देश के लोगों को गिरा दे!
8 तू मेरे मारे मारे फिरने का हिसाब रखता है; तू मेरे आंसुओं को अपनी कुप्पी में रख ले! क्या उनकी चर्चा तेरी पुस्तक में नहीं है?
9 जब जिस समय मैं पुकारूंगा, उसी समय मेरे शत्रु उलटे फिरेंगे। यह मैं जानता हूं, कि परमेश्वर मेरी ओर है।
10 परमेश्वर की सहायता से मैं उसके वचन की प्रशंसा करूंगा, यहोवा की सहायता से मैं उसके वचन की प्रशंसा करूंगा।
11 मैं ने परमेश्वर पर भरोसा रखा है, मैं न डरूंगा। मनुष्य मेरा क्या कर सकता है?
12 हे परमेश्वर, तेरी मन्नतों का भार मुझ पर बना है; मैं तुझ को धन्यवाद बलि चढ़ाऊंगा।
13 क्योंकि तू ने मुझ को मृत्यु से बचाया है; तू ने मेरे पैरों को भी फिसलने से बचाया है, ताकि मैं ईश्वर के साम्हने जीवतों के उजियाले में चलूं फिरूं?

2 Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.
3 Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.
4 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
5 In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
6 Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.
7 They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.
8 Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God.
9 Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?
10 When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.
11 In God will I praise his word: in the Lord will I praise his word.
12 In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.
13 Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.
14 For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?

1 मूढ़ ने अपने मन में कहा है, कि कोई परमेश्वर है ही नहीं। वे बिगड़ गए, उन्होंने कुटिलता के घिनौने काम किए हैं; कोई सुकर्मी नहीं॥
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.
2 परमेश्वर ने स्वर्ग पर से मनुष्यों के ऊपर दृष्टि की ताकि देखे कि कोई बुद्धि से चलने वाला वा परमेश्वर को पूछने वाला है कि नहीं॥
God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.
3 वे सब के सब हट गए; सब एक साथ बिगड़ गए; कोई सुकर्मी नहीं, एक भी नहीं॥ क्या उन सब अनर्थकारियों को कुछ भी ज्ञान नहीं?
Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
4 जो मेरे लोगों को ऐसे खाते हैं जैसे रोटी और परमेश्वर का नाम नहीं लेते?
Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.
5 वहां उन पर भय छा गया जहां भय का कोई कारण न था। क्योंकि यहोवा ने उनकी हडि्डयों को, जो तेरे विरुद्ध छावनी डाले पड़े थे, तितर बितर कर दिया; तू ने तो उन्हें लज्जित कर दिया इसलिये कि परमेश्वर ने उन को निकम्मा ठहराया है॥
There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.
6 भला होता कि इस्राएल का पूरा उद्धार सिय्योन से निकलता! जब परमेश्वर अपनी प्रजा को बन्धुवाई से लौटा ले आएगा तब याकूब मगन और इस्राएल आनन्दित होगा॥
Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
