Joshua 23
1 इसके बहुत दिनों के बाद, जब यहोवा ने इस्राएलियों को उनके चारों ओर के शत्रुओं से विश्राम दिया, और यहोशू बूढ़ा और बहुत आयु का हो गया,
2 तब यहोशू सब इस्राएलियों को, अर्थात पुरनियों, मुख्य पुरूषों, न्यायियों, और सरदारों को बुलवाकर कहने लगा, मैं तो अब बूढ़ा और बहुत आयु का हो गया हूं;
3 और तुम ने देखा कि तुम्हारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तुम्हारे निमित्त इन सब जातियों से क्या क्या किया है, क्योंकि जो तुम्हारी ओर लड़ता आया है वह तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यहोवा है।
4 देखो, मैं ने इन बची हुई जातियों को चिट्ठी डाल डालकर तुम्हारे गोत्रों का भाग कर दिया है; और यरदन से ले कर सूर्यास्त की ओर के बड़े समुद्र तक रहने वाली उन सब जातियों को भी ऐसा ही दिया है, जिन को मैं ने काट डाला है।
5 और तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यहोवा उन को तुम्हारे साम्हने से उनके देश से निकाल देगा; और तुम अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा के वचन के अनुसार उनके देश के अधिकारी हो जाओगे।
6 इसलिये बहुत हियाव बान्धकर, जो कुछ मूसा की व्यवस्था की पुस्तक में लिखा है उसके पूरा करने में चौकसी करना, उस से न तो दाहिने मुड़ना और न बाएं।
7 ये जो जातियां तुम्हारे बीच रह गई हैं इनके बीच न जाना, और न इनके देवताओं के नामों की चर्चा करना, और न उनकी शपथ खिलाना, और न उनकी उपासना करना, और न उन को दण्डवत करना,
8 परन्तु जैसे आज के दिन तक तुम अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की भक्ति में लवलीन रहते हो, वैसे ही रहा करना।
9 यहोवा ने तुम्हारे साम्हने से बड़ी बड़ी और बलवन्त जतियां निकाली हैं; और तुम्हारे साम्हने आज के दिन तक कोई ठहर नहीं सका।
10 तुम में से एक मनुष्य हजार मनुष्यों को भगाएगा, क्योंकि तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यहोवा अपने वचन के अनुसार तुम्हारी ओर से लड़ता है।
11 इसलिये अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा से प्रेम रखने की पूरी चौकसी करना।
12 क्योंकि यदि तुम किसी रीति यहोवा से फिरकर इन जातियों के बाकी लोगों से मिलने लगो जो तुम्हारे बीच बचे हुए रहते हैं, और इन से ब्याह शादी करके इनके साथ समधियाना रिश्ता जोड़ो,
13 तो निश्चय जान लो कि आगे को तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यहोवा इन जातियों को तुम्हारे सामहने से नहीं निकालेगा; और ये तुम्हारे लिये जाल और फंदे, और तुम्हारे पांजरों के लिये कोड़े, और तुम्हारी आंखों में कांटे ठहरेगी, और अन्त में तुम इस अच्छी भूमि पर से जो तुम्हारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तुम्हें दी है नष्ट हो जाओगे।
14 सुनो, मैं तो अब सब संसारियों की गति पर जाने वाला हूं, और तुम सब अपने अपने हृदय और मन में जानते हो, कि जितनी भलाई की बातें हमारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने हमारे विषय में कहीं उन में से एक भी बिना पूरी हुए नहीं रही; वे सब की सब तुम पर घट गई हैं, उन में से एक भी बिना पूरी हुए नहीं रही।
15 तो जैसे तुम्हारे परमेश्वर यहोवा की कही हुई सब भलाई की बातें तुम पर घटी है, वैसे ही यहोवा विपत्ति की सब बातें भी तुम पर घटाते घटाते तुम को इस अच्छी भूमि के ऊपर से, जिसे तुम्हारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तुम्हें दिया है, सत्यानाश कर डालेगा।
16 जब तुम उस वाचा को, जिसे तुम्हारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तुम को आज्ञा देकर अपने साथ बन्धाया है, उल्लंघन करके पराये देवताओं की उपासना और उन को दण्डवत करने लगो, तब यहोवा का कोप तुम पर भड़केगा, और तुम इस अच्छे देश में से जिसे उसने तुम को दिया है शीघ्र नाश जो जाओगे॥
1 And it came to pass a long time after that the Lord had given rest unto Israel from all their enemies round about, that Joshua waxed old and stricken in age.
2 And Joshua called for all Israel, and for their elders, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers, and said unto them, I am old and stricken in age:
3 And ye have seen all that the Lord your God hath done unto all these nations because of you; for the Lord your God is he that hath fought for you.
4 Behold, I have divided unto you by lot these nations that remain, to be an inheritance for your tribes, from Jordan, with all the nations that I have cut off, even unto the great sea westward.
5 And the Lord your God, he shall expel them from before you, and drive them from out of your sight; and ye shall possess their land, as the Lord your God hath promised unto you.
6 Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left;
7 That ye come not among these nations, these that remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause to swear by them, neither serve them, nor bow yourselves unto them:
8 But cleave unto the Lord your God, as ye have done unto this day.
9 For the Lord hath driven out from before you great nations and strong: but as for you, no man hath been able to stand before you unto this day.
10 One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the Lord your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you.
11 Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love the Lord your God.
12 Else if ye do in any wise go back, and cleave unto the remnant of these nations, even these that remain among you, and shall make marriages with them, and go in unto them, and they to you:
13 Know for a certainty that the Lord your God will no more drive out any of these nations from before you; but they shall be snares and traps unto you, and scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes, until ye perish from off this good land which the Lord your God hath given you.
14 And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.
15 Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you, which the Lord your God promised you; so shall the Lord bring upon you all evil things, until he have destroyed you from off this good land which the Lord your God hath given you.
16 When ye have transgressed the covenant of the Lord your God, which he commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them; then shall the anger of the Lord be kindled against you, and ye shall perish quickly from off the good land which he hath given unto you.
Romans 7 in Tamil and English
1 दाज्यू-भाइ, दिदी-बहिनीहरू तिमीहरू सबैले मोशाको व्यवस्था बुझ्दछौ। यसकारण निःसन्देह, तिमीहरू जान्दछौ कि व्यवस्थाले कुनै पनि मानिसलाई उ बाँचुञ्जेल मात्र आफ्नो अधीनमा राख्दछ।
Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
2 म तिमीहरूलाई एउटा उदाहरण दिदँछुः एकजना पत्नी मानिस आफ्नो लोग्ने बाँचुञ्जेल सम्म उसँगै बस्नु पर्दछ। तर यदि उसको लोग्ने मर्यो भने उ विवाहको निम्ति विवाह विधानबाट मुक्त हुन्छ।
For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
3 तर यदि त्यस पत्नी मानिसले आफ्नो लोग्ने छँदाछँदै अर्को पुरुषसँग विवाह गरी भने त्यसलाई व्यभिचारिणी भनिन्छ। तर यदि उसको लोग्ने चाँहि मर्यो भने उ विवाहको विधानबाट मुक्त बन्छे अनि यदि आफ्नो लोग्ने मरे पछि उसले अर्को पुरुषसँग विवाह गरी भने, उसलाई व्यभिचारिणीको दोष लाग्दैन।
So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
4 त्यस्तै प्रकारले, मेरा दाज्यु-भाइ, दिदी-बहिनीहरू, तिम्रा पूराना स्वभावहरू मरिसकेकाछन् र तिमीहरू पनि ख्रीष्टका शरीरद्वारा व्यस्थाबाट मुक्त बन्यौ। अब तिमीहरू कसैको भयौ। तिमीहरू ख्रीष्टको भयौ जो मृत्युबाट जगाइनु भयो। हामी ख्रीष्टका छौं र हामी परमेश्वरको सेवामा हुनसक्छौं।
Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
5 विगतमा हामी हाम्रा पापपूर्ण स्वभावले शासित थियौं। व्यवस्थाले हामीमा पापपूर्ण कार्यहरू गर्न इच्छा जगायो जसले हाम्रो शरीर अधीनमा राख्यो। यसकारण जुन कुराहरू हामीले गर्यौ त्यसले हाम्रो आत्मिक मृत्यु भयो।
For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
6 विगतमा, व्यवस्थाले हामीलाई कैदी बनायो । तर हाम्रा पुराना स्वभावहरू मरेर गए अनि हामी व्यवस्थावाट मुक्त गरियौं। यसैले अब हामी परमेश्वरलाई आत्माको नयाँ ढाँचाले सेवा गर्दछौं, नियमहरूमा लेखिएको पुरानो ढाँचाले होइन। अब, हामी परमेश्वरलाई आत्माद्वारा नयाँ ढाँचाले पुज्दछौं।
But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
7 हामीले के भन्नु पर्ने हो? के व्यवस्था पापको समान हो? होइन, तर व्यवस्था त एक मात्र त्यस्तो बाटो हो जहाँबाट मैले पाप भनेको के हो बूझ्न सकें। यदि व्यवस्थाले पाप भनेको के हो भन्ने नबताएको भए मैले कहिल्यै बुझ्न सक्ने थिएन। तर व्यवस्थाले भन्यो, “अरूसँग भएको कुराहरूको चाहना तिमीले गर्नु दैन।”
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
8 तर पापले त्यस आज्ञाबाट अवसर पायो र ममा धेरै प्रकारको इच्छा जागृत गरायो किन कि पाप व्यवस्था बिनै मृत बन्यो।
But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
9 एक समय म व्यवस्था बिना नै जीवित थिएँ। तर जब आज्ञ आयो, पापले जीवन पायो।
For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
10 यसकारण पापको कारणले गर्दा म आत्मिक रूपले मरे। आज्ञाको अर्थ थियो जीवन ल्याउनु तर मेरो लागि त्यसले मृत्यु ल्यायो।
And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
11 व्यवस्था पालन गरेर पापले मलाई मूर्ख बनाउने ठाउँ पायो। व्यवस्था पालन गरेर पापले मलाई आत्मिक रूपले मार्यो।
For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
12 तब त्यसैले व्यवस्था नै पवित्र हो, अनि आज्ञा पनि पवित्र, धार्मिक र राम्रो हो।
Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
13 ममा मृत्यु ल्याउने कुरो राम्रो भनेको हो?होइन! तर पापले त्यो राम्रो भन्ने कुरो प्रयोग गरेर ममा मृत्यु ल्यायो। त्यसो भएकोले गर्दा खासमा कुरो खुबै नराम्रो हो भन्ने देखाइयो। अनि यही आज्ञा देखाउनलाई प्रयोग गरियो।
Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
14 हामी जान्दछौ कि व्यवस्था आत्मिक हो। तर म आत्मिक छैन। पापले ममाथि शासन गर्छ, मानौं म त्यसको दास हुँ।
For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
15 म केही जाँन्दिन म के गरिरहेछु। किनकि म केही जान्दिँन म के गर्न चाहन्छु। यसको सट्टामा म त्यही गर्छु जुन कुरो म गर्न घृणा गर्छु।
For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
16 यदि मैले नचाहेको काम गरे भने म व्यवस्था राम्रो छ भनेर मान्छु।
If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
17 तर म एकमात्र होइन जसले यस्तो खराब काम गरिरहेछ। पाप जुन मभित्र बसेकोछु, त्यसैले यस्तो कामहरू गर्दैछ।
Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18 हो, म जान्दछु कि राम्रो भन्ने केही कुरो ममा छैन, म असल कुरा गर्न चाहन्छु तर गर्न असमर्थ छु।
For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19 आफूले चाहेको असल कुरा पनि म र्गदिनँ। त्यसको बदली गर्न नचाहेको नराम्रो कुरा चाहिं म गर्छु।
For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 यदि आफूले नचाहेको कुरो म गर्छु भने ती कुराहरू गर्ने म होइनन। मभित्र रहेको पापले नै ती सब गर्दछ।
Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
21 त्यसैले मैले आफैमा एउटा विधान भेटें जब म असल गर्न चाहन्छु मभित्र संधैं दुष्ट रहन्छ।
I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
22 भित्रीरूपले म परमेश्वरको व्यवस्थासँग खुशी छु।
For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23 तर म मेरो शरीरमा अर्कै व्यवस्थाले काम गरिरहेको पाउँछु। त्यो विधान मभित्रको विधानसित झगडा गरिरहेछ। त्यो अर्को विधान पापको विधान हो अनि त्यसले मलाई कैदी बनाउँछ।
But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
24 म कति दयनीय छु! मृत्यु ल्याउने यस कुराबाट मलाई कसले बचाउँछ?
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
25 परमेश्वरले मलाई बचाउनु हुनेछ! म उहाँलाई हाम्रो प्रभु येशू ख्रीष्ट मार्फत धन्यवाद चढाउँदछु! यसकारण अब म मानसिक रूपले परमेश्वरको व्यवस्थाको दास हुँ। तर मेरो पापपूर्ण स्वभावमा म पापको विधानको दास छु।
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
