Jeremiah 44:2
इस्राएल का परमेश्वर, सेनाओं का यहोवा यों कहता है कि जो विपत्ति मैं यरूशलेम और यहूदा के सब नगरों पर डाल चुका हूँ, वह सब तुम लोगों ने देखी है। देखो, वे आज के दिन कैसे उजड़े हुए और निर्जन हैं,

| have seen | רְאִיתֶ֗ם | rĕʾîtem | reh-ee-TEM |
| אֵ֤ת | ʾēt | ate | |
| all | כָּל | kāl | kahl |
| evil the | הָֽרָעָה֙ | hārāʿāh | ha-ra-AH |
| that | אֲשֶׁ֤ר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| I have brought | הֵבֵ֙אתִי֙ | hēbēʾtiy | hay-VAY-TEE |
| upon | עַל | ʿal | al |
| Jerusalem, | יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם | yĕrûšālaim | yeh-ROO-sha-la-EEM |
| and upon | וְעַ֖ל | wĕʿal | veh-AL |
| all | כָּל | kāl | kahl |
| cities the | עָרֵ֣י | ʿārê | ah-RAY |
| of Judah; | יְהוּדָ֑ה | yĕhûdâ | yeh-hoo-DA |
| and, behold, | וְהִנָּ֤ם | wĕhinnām | veh-hee-NAHM |
| this | חָרְבָּה֙ | ḥorbāh | hore-BA |
| day | הַיּ֣וֹם | hayyôm | HA-yome |
| they are a desolation, | הַזֶּ֔ה | hazze | ha-ZEH |
| no and | וְאֵ֥ין | wĕʾên | veh-ANE |
| man dwelleth | בָּהֶ֖ם | bāhem | ba-HEM |
| therein, | יוֹשֵֽׁב׃ | yôšēb | yoh-SHAVE |
