Isaiah 46
1 बेल देवता झुक गया, नबो देवता नब गया है, उनकी प्रतिमाएं पशुओं वरन घरैलू पशुओं पर लदी हैं; जिन वस्तुओं को तुम उठाए फिरते थे, वे अब भारी बोझ हो गईं और थकित पशुओं पर लदी हैं।
2 वे नब गए, वे एक संग झुक गए, वे उस भार को छुड़ा नहीं सके, और आप भी बंधुआई में चले गए हैं॥
3 हे याकूब के घराने, हे इस्राएल के घराने के सब बचे हुए लोगो, मेरी ओर कान लगाकर सुनो; तुम को मैं तुम्हारी उत्पत्ति ही से उठाए रहा और जन्म ही से लिए फिरता आया हूं।
4 तुम्हारे बुढ़ापे में भी मैं वैसा ही बना रहूंगा और तुम्हारे बाल पकने के समय तक तुम्हें उठाए रहूंगा। मैं ने तुम्हें बनाया और तुम्हें लिए फिरता रहूंगा;
5 मैं तुम्हें उठाए रहूंगा और छुड़ाता भी रहूंगा॥ तुम किस से मेरी उपमा दोगे और मुझे किस के समान बताओगे, किस से मेरा मिलान करोगे कि हम एक समान ठहरें?
6 जो थैली से सोना उण्डेलते वा कांटे में चान्दी तौलते हैं, जो सुनार को मजदुरी देकर उस से देवता बनवाते हैं, तब वे उसे प्रणाम करते वरन दण्डवत भी करते हैं!
7 वे उसको कन्धे पर उठा कर लिए फिरते हैं, वे उसे उसके स्थान में रख देते और वह वहीं खड़ा रहता है; वह अपने स्थान से हट नहीं सकता; यदि कोई उसकी दोहाई भी दे, तौभी न वह सुन सकता है और न विपत्ति से उसका उद्धार कर सकता है॥
8 हे अपराधियों, इस बात को स्मरण करो और ध्यान दो, इस पर फिर मन लगाओ।
9 प्राचीनकाल की बातें स्मरण करो जो आरम्भ ही से है; क्योंकि ईश्वर मैं ही हूं, दूसरा कोई नहीं; मैं ही परमेश्वर हूं और मेरे तुल्य कोई भी नहीं है।
10 मैं तो अन्त की बात आदि से और प्राचीनकाल से उस बात को बताता आया हूं जो अब तक नहीं हुई। मैं कहता हूं, मेरी युक्ति स्थिर रहेगी और मैं अपनी इच्छा को पूरी करूंगा।
11 मैं पूर्व से एक उकाब पक्षी को अर्थात दूर देश से अपनी युक्ति के पूरा करने वाले पुरूष को बुलाता हूं। मैं ही ने यह बात कही है और उसे पूरी भी करूंगा; मैं ने यह विचार बान्धा है और उसे सफल भी करूंगा।
12 हे कठोर मनवालो तुम जो धर्म से दूर हो, कान लगाकर मेरी सुनो।
13 मैं अपनी धामिर्कता को समीप ले आने पर हूं वह दूर नहीं है, और मेरे उद्धार करने में विलम्ब न होगा; मैं सिय्योन का उद्धार करूंगा और इस्राएल को महिमा दूंगा॥
1 Bel boweth down, Nebo stoopeth, their idols were upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: your carriages were heavy loaden; they are a burden to the weary beast.
2 They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves are gone into captivity.
3 Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb:
4 And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.
5 To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?
6 They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship.
7 They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.
8 Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors.
9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.
12 Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness:
13 I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.

29 அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய ஆவி யெப்தாவின் மேல் இறங்கினார்; அவன் கீலேயாத்தையும் மனாசே நாட்டையும் கடந்துபோய், கீலேயாத்திலிருக்கிற மிஸ்பாவுக்கு வந்து, அங்கேயிருந்து அம்மோன் புத்திரருக்கு விரோதமாகப் போனான்.
Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah, and he passed over Gilead, and Manasseh, and passed over Mizpeh of Gilead, and from Mizpeh of Gilead he passed over unto the children of Ammon.
30 அப்பொழுது யெப்தா கர்த்தருக்கு ஒரு பொருத்தனையைப் பண்ணி: தேவரீர் அம்மோன் புத்திரரை என் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கவே ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தால்,
And Jephthah vowed a vow unto the Lord, and said, If thou shalt without fail deliver the children of Ammon into mine hands,
31 நான் அம்மோன் புத்திரரிடத்திலிருந்து சமாதானத்தோடே திரும்பி வரும்போது, என் வீட்டு வாசற்படியிலிருந்து எனக்கு எதிர்கொண்டு வருவது எதுவோ அது கர்த்தருக்கு உரியதாகும். அதைச் சர்வாங்க தகனபலியாகச் செலுத்துவேன் என்றான்.
Then it shall be, that whatsoever cometh forth of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the Lord’s, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.
32 யெப்தா அம்மோன் புத்திரரின்மேல் யுத்தம்பண்ண, அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் புறப்பட்டுப்போனான்; கர்த்தர் அவர்களை அவன் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்.
So Jephthah passed over unto the children of Ammon to fight against them; and the Lord delivered them into his hands.
33 அவன் அவர்களை ஆரோவேர் துவக்கி மின்னித்திற்குப் போகுமட்டும், திராட்சத்தோட்டத்து நிலங்கள் வரைக்கும், மகா சங்காரமாய் முறிய அடித்து, இருபது பட்டணங்களைப் பிடித்தான்; இப்படி அம்மோன் புத்திரர் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்கு முன்பாகத் தாழ்த்தப்பட்டார்கள்.
And he smote them from Aroer, even till thou come to Minnith, even twenty cities, and unto the plain of the vineyards, with a very great slaughter. Thus the children of Ammon were subdued before the children of Israel.
34 யெப்தா மிஸ்பாவிலிருக்கிற தன் வீட்டுக்கு வருகிறபோது, இதோ, அவன் குமாரத்தி தம்புரு வாசித்து நடனஞ்செய்து, அவனுக்கு எதிர்கொண்டு வந்தாள்; அவள் அவனுக்கு ஒரே பிள்ளையானவள்; அவளையல்லாமல் அவனுக்குக் குமாரனும் இல்லை குமாரத்தியும் இல்லை.
And Jephthah came to Mizpeh unto his house, and, behold, his daughter came out to meet him with timbrels and with dances: and she was his only child; beside her he had neither son nor daughter.
35 அவன் அவளைக் கண்டவுடனே தன் வஸ்திரங்களைக் கிழித்துக்கொண்டு: ஐயோ! என் மகளே, என்னை மிகவும் மனமடியவும் கலங்கவும் பண்ணுகிறாய்; நான் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி என் வாயைத் திறந்து சொல்லிவிட்டேன்; அதை நான் மாற்றக் கூடாது என்றான்.
And it came to pass, when he saw her, that he rent his clothes, and said, Alas, my daughter! thou hast brought me very low, and thou art one of them that trouble me: for I have opened my mouth unto the Lord, and I cannot go back.
36 அப்பொழுது அவள்: என் தகப்பனே, நீர் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி உம்முடைய வாயைத் திறந்து பேசினீரல்லவோ? அம்மோன் புத்திரராகிய, உம்முடைய சத்துருக்களுக்கு நீதியைச் சரிக்கட்டும் ஜெயத்தைக் கர்த்தர் உமக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியினால், உம்முடைய வாயிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டபடியே எனக்குச் செய்யும் என்றாள்.
And she said unto him, My father, if thou hast opened thy mouth unto the Lord, do to me according to that which hath proceeded out of thy mouth; forasmuch as the Lord hath taken vengeance for thee of thine enemies, even of the children of Ammon.
37 பின்னும் அவன் தன் தகப்பனை நோக்கி: நீர் எனக்கு ஒரு காரியம் செய்ய வேண்டும்; நான் மலைகளின்மேல் போய்த்திரிந்து, நானும் என் தோழிமார்களும் என் கன்னிமையினிமித்தம் துக்கங்கொண்டாட, எனக்கு இரண்டுமாதம் தவணைகொடும் என்றாள்.
And she said unto her father, Let this thing be done for me: let me alone two months, that I may go up and down upon the mountains, and bewail my virginity, I and my fellows.
38 அதற்கு அவன்: போய் வா என்று அவளை இரண்டு மாதத்திற்கு அனுப்பிவிட்டான்; அவள் தன் தோழிமார்களோடும் கூடப்போய், தன் கன்னிமையினிமித்தம் மலைகளின் மேல் துக்கங்கொண்டாடி,
And he said, Go. And he sent her away for two months: and she went with her companions, and bewailed her virginity upon the mountains.
39 இரண்டுமாதம் முடிந்தபின்பு, தன் தகப்பனிடத்திற்குத் திரும்பிவந்தாள்; அப்பொழுது அவன் பண்ணியிருந்த தன் பொருத்தனையின் படி அவளுக்குச் செய்தான்; அவள் புருஷனை அறியாதிருந்தாள்.
And it came to pass at the end of two months, that she returned unto her father, who did with her according to his vow which he had vowed: and she knew no man. And it was a custom in Israel,
