Isaiah 31
1 हाय उन पर जो सहायता पाने के लिये मिस्र को जाते हैं और घोड़ों का आसरा करते हैं; जो रथों पर भरोसा रखते क्योंकि वे बहुत हैं, और सवारों पर, क्योंकि वे अति बलवान हैं, पर इस्राएल के पवित्र की ओर दृष्टि नहीं करते और न यहोवा की खोज करते हैं!
2 परन्तु वह भी बुद्धिमान है और दु:ख देगा, वह अपने वचन न टालेगा, परन्तु उठ कर कुकमिर्यों के घराने पर और अनर्थकारियों के सहायकों पर भी चढ़ाई करेगा।
3 मिस्री लोग ईश्वर नहीं, मनुष्य ही हैं; और उनके घोड़े आत्मा नहीं, मांस ही हैं। जब यहोवा हाथ बढ़ाएगा, तब सहायता करने वाले और सहायता चाहने वाले दोनों ठोकर खाकर गिरेंगे, और वे सब के सब एक संग नष्ट हो जाएंगे।
4 फिर यहोवा ने मुझ से यों कहा, जिस प्रकार सिंह वा जवान सिंह जब अपने अहेर पर गुर्राता हो, और चरवाहे इकट्ठे हो कर उसके विरुद्ध बड़ी भीड़ लगाएं, तौभी वह उनके बोल से न घबराएगा और न उनके कोलाहल के कारण दबेगा, उसी प्रकार सेनाओं का यहोवा, सिय्योन पर्वत और यरूशलेम की पहाड़ी पर, युद्ध करने को उतरेगा।
5 पंख फैलाई हुई चिडिय़ों की नाईं सेनाओं का यहोवा यरूशलेम की रक्षा करेगा; वह उसकी रक्षा कर के बचाएगा, और उसको बिन छूए ही उद्धार करेगा॥
6 हे इस्राएलियों, जिसके विरुद्ध तुम ने भारी बलवा किया है, उसी की ओर फिरो।
7 उस समय तुम लोग सोने चान्दी की अपनी अपनी मूतिर्यों से जिन्हें तुम बनाकर पापी हो गए हो घृणा करोगे।
8 तब अश्शूर उस तलवार से गिराया जाएगा जो मनुष्य की नहीं; वह उस तलवार का कौर हो जाएगा जो आदमी की नहीं; और वह तलवार के साम्हने से भागेगा और उसके जवान बेगार में पकड़े जाएंगे।
9 वह भय के मारे अपने सुन्दर भवन से जाता रहेगा, और उसके हाकिम घबराहट के कारण ध्वजा त्याग कर भाग जाएंगे, यहोवा जिस की अग्नि सिय्योन में और जिसका भट्ठा यरूशेलम में हैं, उसी की यह वाणी है॥
1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord!
2 Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.
3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the Lord shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.
4 For thus hath the Lord spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the Lord of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.
5 As birds flying, so will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.
6 Turn ye unto him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.
7 For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.
8 Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited.
9 And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the Lord, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.
Isaiah 55 in Tamil and English
1 अहो सब प्यासे लोगो, पानी के पास आओ; और जिनके पास रूपया न हो, तुम भी आकर मोल लो और खाओ! दाखमधु और दूध बिन रूपए और बिना दाम ही आकर ले लो।
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
2 जो भोजनवस्तु नहीं है, उसके लिये तुम क्यों रूपया लगाते हो, और, जिस से पेट नहीं भरता उसके लिये क्यों परिश्रम करते हो? मेरी ओर मन लगाकर सुनो, तब उत्तम वस्तुएं खाने पाओगे और चिकनी चिकनी वस्तुएं खाकर सन्तुष्ट हो जाओगे।
Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
3 कान लगाओ, और मेरे पास आओ; सुनो, तब तुम जीवित रहोगे; और मैं तुम्हारे साथ सदा की वाचा बान्धूंगा अर्थात दाऊद पर की अटल करूणा की वाचा।
Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
4 सुनो, मैं ने उसको राज्य राज्य के लोगों के लिये साक्षी और प्रधान और आज्ञा देने वाला ठहराया है।
Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.
5 सुन, तू ऐसी जाति को जिसे तू नहीं जानता बुलाएगा, और ऐसी जातियां जो तुझे नहीं जानतीं तेरे पास दौड़ी आएंगी, वे तेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा और इस्राएल के पवित्र के निमित्त यह करेंगी, क्योंकि उसने तुझे शोभायमान किया है॥
Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the Lord thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.
6 जब तक यहोवा मिल सकता है तब तक उसकी खोज में रहो, जब तक वह निकट है तब तक उसे पुकारो;
Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 दुष्ट अपनी चालचलन और अनर्थकारी अपने सोच विचार छोड़कर यहोवा ही की ओर फिरे, वह उस पर दया करेगा, वह हमारे परमेश्वर की ओर फिरे और वह पूरी रीति से उसको क्षमा करेगा।
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
8 क्योंकि यहोवा कहता है, मेरे विचार और तुम्हारे विचार एक समान नहीं है, न तुम्हारी गति और मेरी गति एक सी है।
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
9 क्योंकि मेरी और तुम्हारी गति में और मेरे और तुम्हारे सोच विचारों में, आकाश और पृथ्वी का अन्तर है॥
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 जिस प्रकार से वर्षा और हिम आकाश से गिरते हैं और वहां यों ही लौट नहीं जाते, वरन भूमि पर पड़कर उपज उपजाते हैं जिस से बोने वाले को बीज और खाने वाले को रोटी मिलती है,
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 उसी प्रकार से मेरा वचन भी होगा जो मेरे मुख से निकलता है; वह व्यर्थ ठहरकर मेरे पास न लौटेगा, परन्तु, जो मेरी इच्छा है उसे वह पूरा करेगा, और जिस काम के लिये मैं ने उसको भेजा है उसे वह सफल करेगा॥
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
12 क्योंकि तुम आनन्द के साथ निकलोगे, और शान्ति के साथ पहुंचाए जाओगे; तुम्हारे आगे आगे पहाड़ और पहाडिय़ां गला खोल कर जयजयकार करेंगी, और मैदान के सब वृक्ष आनन्द के मारे ताली बजाएंगे।
For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
13 तब भटकटैयों की सन्ती सनौवर उगेंगे; और बिच्छु पेड़ों की सन्ती मेंहदी उगेगी; और इस से यहोवा का नाम होगा, जो सदा का चिन्ह होगा और कभी न मिटेगा।
Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the Lord for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
