भजन संहिता 148

1 याह की स्तुति करो! यहोवा की स्तुति स्वर्ग में से करो, उसकी स्तुति ऊंचे स्थानों में करो!

2 हे उसके सब दूतों, उसकी स्तुति करो: हे उसकी सब सेना उसकी स्तुति कर!

3 हे सूर्य और चन्द्रमा उसकी स्तुति करो, हे सब ज्योतिमय तारागण उसकी स्तुति करो!

4 हे सब से ऊंचे आकाश, और हे आकाश के ऊपर वाले जल, तुम दोनों उसकी स्तुति करो।

5 वे यहोवा के नाम की स्तुति करें, क्योंकि उसी ने आज्ञा दी और ये सिरजे गए।

6 और उसने उन को सदा सर्वदा के लिये स्थिर किया है; और ऐसी विधि ठहराई है, जो टलने की नहीं॥

7 पृथ्वी में से यहोवा की स्तुति करो, हे मगरमच्छों और गहिरे सागर,

8 हे अग्नि और ओलो, हे हिम और कुहरे, हे उसका वचन मानने वाली प्रचण्ड बयार!

9 हे पहाड़ों और सब टीलो, हे फलदाई वृक्षों और सब देवदारों!

10 हे वन- पशुओं और सब घरैलू पशुओं, हे रेंगने वाले जन्तुओं और हे पक्षियों!

11 हे पृथ्वी के राजाओं, और राज्य राज्य के सब लोगों, हे हाकिमों और पृथ्वी के सब न्यायियों!

12 हे जवानों और कुमारियों, हे पुरनियों और बालकों!

13 यहोवा के नाम की स्तुति करो, क्योंकि केवल उसकी का नाम महान है; उसका ऐश्वर्य पृथ्वी और आकाश के ऊपर है।

14 और उसने अपनी प्रजा के लिये एक सींग ऊंचा किया है; यह उसके सब भक्तों के लिये अर्थात इस्राएलियों के लिये और उसके समीप रहने वाली प्रजा के लिये स्तुति करने का विषय है। याह की स्तुति करो।

1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heavens: praise him in the heights.

2 Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.

3 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.

4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.

5 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created.

6 He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.

7 Praise the Lord from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:

8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word:

9 Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:

10 Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:

11 Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:

12 Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:

13 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.

14 He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the Lord.

அப்பொழுது அதைப் பார்த்தவர்கள் எல்லோரும், இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட நாளிலிருந்து இந்த நாள்வரைக்கும் இதைப்போன்ற காரியம் செய்யப்படவும் இல்லை, காணப்படவும் இல்லை; இந்தக் காரியத்தைப்பற்றி யோசித்து, ஆலோசனை செய்து, செய்யவேண்டியது என்னவென்று சொல்லுங்கள் என்றார்கள்.

அதைப் பார்த்தவர்கள் எல்லோரும், “இதைப்போன்ற எதுவும் இதுவரைக்கும் இஸ்ரவேலில் நடந்ததில்லை. எகிப்திலிருந்து நாம் வந்த காலத்திலிருந்து இதைப்போன்று எதையும் பார்த்ததில்லை இதை விசாரித்து, என்ன முடிவு செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று சொல்லுங்கள்” என்றனர்.
