और उन से कहा; क्या सब्त के दिन भला करना उचित है या बुरा करना, प्राण को बचाना या मारना? पर वे चुप रहे।

யெருபாகாலின் 70 மகன்களையும் அபிமெலேக்கு கொன்றிருந்தான். அவர்கள் அபிமெலேக்கின் சொந்த சகோதரர்கள்! இத்தவறான காரியத்தைச் செய்வதற்கு சீகேமின் தலைவர்கள் அவனுக்கு உதவினர். எனவே தேவன் அபிமெலேக்கிற்கும் சீகேம் மனிதர்களுக்குமிடையே ஒரு தீய ஆவியை அனுப்பினார். அபிமெலேக்கை தாக்குவதற்கு சீகேமின் தலைவர்கள் திட்டமிட்டனர்.
